They should just start calling them season 5 and 6 and stop confusing viewers.
Call it S6 and you have to renegotiate contracts.
Think Sopranos S6 part 1 and 2.
Also think Breaking Bad S5 Part 1 and Part 2 Blurays.

I'm guessing it'll be pretty soon. The Killing showed up on it fairly quickly after the DVDs came out, and since they're on the same network, I would assume that Breaking Bad would follow a similar pattern.

I just saw that Amazon is selling Breaking Bad Season 4 DVD for $19.99
Looks like Amazon finally matched Best Buy's price ($25) for the Blu-rays for those that prefer their service.

Sort of, but it's mostly the stuff that's posted each week on the website. It looks like there may be a few things that are exclusive to the Blu-ray release, though.

This. Call it Season 5 to the cast and crew as that's what it is for contract reasons. For viewers that are largely obfuscated from that stuff, if there is a year between the airing of one part and the next, they are for all intents and purposes separate seasons (5 and 6).
I think Aaron Paul was "translating" for the home TV audience and imagine AMC will market it in this way.
