Do you know for sure? Is Aaron just confused or..?
He's saying the same thing but technically it's all S5. Here's the press release from AMC.
AMC announced today its summer programming slate, including the highly anticipated premiere of the first part of “Breaking Bad’s” final season on Sunday, July 15 at 10pm ET/PT. The final season of the Emmy® Award-winning and critically acclaimed drama, produced by Sony Pictures Television, consists of 16 episodes, with the first eight episodes beginning July 15 and culminating with the series’ final eight episodes next summer 2013.

This.

Doesn't make any sense. Why on earth are the calling it a mid season break?

Call it S6 and you have to renegotiate contracts.

Think Sopranos S6 part 1 and 2.

Also think Breaking Bad S5 Part 1 and Part 2 Blurays.

Viewers don't care about the contracts so this shouldn't matter. All you're doing is pissing people off when you call something the same season but then have a year break in between.

If they advertise the next season as S6, they will have to renegotiate. Unions wouldn't stand for it.

when do you think S4 will be on netflix streaming?

I'm guessing it'll be pretty soon. The Killing showed up on it fairly quickly after the DVDs came out, and since they're on the same network, I would assume that Breaking Bad would follow a similar pattern.

Will the S4 BRD be $24.99 at Best Buy on Tuesday?
As BenjaminBirdie said, you can just do a pre-order/pick-up, but yeah, it'll be on sale in store as well.

No price change on Amazon for it yet, though. In fact, they raised the price by a dollar, ha.

Bought the season 3 BluRay from America and can't play it in the UK :( Won't be doing the same with season 4, as much as I'd love to listen to the commentaries.

I didnt know there were commentaries... Makes me want to buy.

Does S4 have mini documentaries/behind the scenes on each episode?

This. Call it Season 5 to the cast and crew as that's what it is for contract reasons. For viewers that are largely obfuscated from that stuff, if there is a year between the airing of one part and the next, they are for all intents and purposes separate seasons (5 and 6).

I think Aaron Paul was "translating" for the home TV audience and imagine AMC will market it in this way.

The days between the Mad Men finale and the Breaking Bad premiere will be excruciating.
