Not sure if this has been linked before, but here's Cranston's appearance on Steven Michael Quezada's (Gomie) short lived talk show last year.

Talking about this show...

When I first saw this pic, I thought it was directly from Breaking Bad's set. lol

I woke up and realized that on Sunday, the last season starts.

I'm Breaking Sad.

Don't worry, they're dragging it out over the course of the whole next year, which I find a disappointing move. Like deliberately splitting up a movie based on a book into two parts just to make the viewers pay double the money and thinly veiling it under the guise of "artistic integrity" or doing justice to the source material.

Can someone confirm Walter White's body count so far? Both people he killed directly or indirectly?

He:

Killed Emlio with the gas, Strangled Crazy 8, those two drug dealers he ran over then shot, Gale, (Jesse pulled the trigger but Walt is the one who ordered him to) Gus, and his goon (Hector killed himself with Walt's bomb to help him kill Gus so I guess he doesnt really count) Walt then kills the 2 goons that were holding Jesse hostage and forcing him to cook

That's 9 People that Walt has killed so far since he became a meth cook.

he said indirectly, and making the bomb and making the plan which inevitably killed Gus definitely count :P

Holy shit. I knew there were several, but I didn't realize it was that many.

Don't forget Jane (he rolled her over), and if you want to get creative, the airplane, everyone who's OD'd on his meth, the kid that those dealers who were selling his meth killed (although you might put this one on Jesse?), and I'm sure you can dig out a lot more if you just think about everyone that has died as a result of things set into motion by Walt getting into the game (Tuco, Tuco's guys, the cousins, etc.).

Is it true that the show is airing five episodes this year and eight next year? Cos I swear I've read that somewhere but it somewhat contradicts what I initially thought; eight this year, eight next.

Have the final eight episodes already been shot?

It's good to be king.

Two reviews:

- Salon.com: I hate Walter White *spoilers*
“Breaking Bad,” AMC’s incredible, amped-up methodrama, begins the first half of its final season on Sunday night, and though it is just starting, I am consumed with how it will end.
- Variety: Breaking Bad (full review behind a paywall, some spoilers)
Simply put, there's no more unpredictable series, and its delicate handling of combustible ingredients will be admired and studied by writers for years to come.

A couple articles:
- USA Today: 'Breaking Bad' barrels to a brutal final run *some spoilers*
- Washington Post: Bryan Cranston to sit in the director’s chair for one of the final ‘Breaking Bad’ episodes

I don't think it's stretch to assume Hank will discover Walt at some point during the season. My question is how does he react? Are we certain he's DEA over Walt's brother-in-law? The White-Schrader clan is pretty tight knit.

Why even call this 1 final season then, it's for all intents and purposes two seasons at this point. Why AMC, why?

+1

doesn't make any sense! Just call it season 5 and 6 damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know if they are shooting the entire season at once and breaking it in two, or shooting it like it was 2 seasons?

I Heisenberged up my avatar in celebration of the new season. I started the series a few months ago on Netflix Instant, and I finally finished up season 4 yesterday. Right on time! It's interesting that the first season I get to see as it airs will also be my last. Oh well. It's been a great ride so far. Definitely one of the greatest dramas on TV right now.

8&8 split seasons seems to be AMC's new thing. Walking Dead is supposed to be doing it too next season.
