Most likely really bad, but then again when I heard this starred "the dad from Malcolm in the Middle," I wasn't exactly excited...
That's the precise reason that I got into this show. I knew it was Bryan Cranston doing a dramatic role, so I tuned into the premiere without really knowing anything else about the show. That was enough for me, although I get why it's off-putting to some at first.

Odd. I was super excited. Bryan Cranston was real good in Malcolm, and I also remembered him from that Xfiles episode, in which he proved to be a strong actor.

One of the best parts about reccomending Breaking Bad to people is getting to explain the whole premise of the show and then ending it with "and the main character is played by the dad from Malcolm in the Middle". It always gets such a weird reaction.

I was staying away from breaking bad because of Hal. I kept seeing people recommend it in tv threads, but I figured it was some goofy comedy cause of the underwear shot.

broderick would have been an interesting choice for the part....but He doesn't give off the "lack of morals" vibe that BC does.

lol Broderick giving the....I'm the one who knocks speech would have successfully killed the show right then and there.

So in the Pilot, Walt i turning 50 and while Skylar and Marie are having a convo, Marie comments that Walt is acting a lil strange, a lil quieter than usual and Skylar says it's because he's turning 50 and she's not looking forward to turning 40? was that a joke or does the show really expect us to believe that Skylar in season 4 is 39/40? I mean, she could pull it off in season 1 but since then, uuuuuuuhhhh......

edit: holy shit, Anna Gunn is 43? she looks at least 49/50 in season 4, maybe it's because she was kinda fat and pasty. She looks better now but she doesn't really look her age.

leave skysky alone!

I think Broderick could have worked. He would have at least been a more convincing good person even if his bad person side wouldn't have been as strong.

Bryan "20 Emmy Winner for Best Actor" Cranston said:
You will shit, uncontrollably, watching this new season.

Bold statement Mr. Cranston. But fortune favors the bold.

Jakes on you Mr. Cranston, my diet and bowel movements are honed to perfection. There will be no uncontrollable shitting in my household.

I saw this and i was wondering what was the point of the digging and why it affected him like that.

It's not digging per se that's affecting him -- he's just curious. The guy is a tweaker -- he's irritable, he's paranoid, he's anxious, he hasn't slept for days, he KNOWS all this AND that what he's doing is illegal, and he's been hanging around with a bunch of people with the exact same issues. Jesse goes digging because it's weird and obvious but also clearly nonthreatening, so that the guy will come out and ask what's going on. Then he acts like the guy should obviously KNOW what's going on, so Tucker, being paranoid and exhausted, pretends he does know (because the alternative is to go "I don't know! None of this makes sense!," and he definitely doesn't want to admit ignorance). At this point Tucker has accepted that Jesse is a normal part of the situation, whatever it is, so Jesse is safe. It's not really that different from showing up in a Comcast outfit and saying you need to check the cable or whatever, it's just that Jesse knows you need to approach it differently when you're dealing with drug addicts.

does Vince Gilligan have a fetish for bald white men?
jesse
hank
walt
mike

walt jr is next man.

Also, in one of the trailers we see walt with a beard and a head full of hair, that was cool.

How is the premiere just 4 days away? July 15 seemed impossibly far away when last season ended, now it is nearly upon us. I really need to accelerate my season 4 rewatch pace.

I just finished up Cornered, great episode. I love Walt's cold blooded moment when he tells Bogdan "As is." then smashes his framed dollar bill and just uses it for a soda from the vending machine.

Pre-Breaking Bad, could you see Cranston pulling off Heisenberg like he does now?

As someone who only knew him from Malcolm in the Middle? Nope.

The only reason I got into Breaking Bad was because I was waiting in line to get a pint in the pub and I heard the hot girl behind the bar talking about it. I had heard of it but thought it was a goofy comedy because Hal was the star and all that I'd seen was the picture of him in his tighty whiteys :lol

Anyway, when It was my turn to get served I was like 'were you talking about Breaking Bad with that girl?'. Totally bullshitted about it for about 10 minutes just to get talking to her etc etc.

When I got home I actually watched the first episode and the rest is history!
