I've just got to say, I love anime on television. I was reminded of this fact by the long haired, sub advocating, PC nerd guy I work with.

Like the dub or not, it saves you some money over dropping a load on the DVD's only to find you don't like the show. Saving money is good. And sampling stuff is good.

Watching anime go from hard to obtain hobby for weirdos, to full blown epidemic for weirdos who will now go out in public dressed like a fucking cartoon character - available at Best Buy for a song and a dance takes a big fat steaming shit over the bad old days of having to nearly fellate a geek to get a a few new episodes of that show being broadcast in Japan on shitty quality VHS fan subs, paying $25-29 for dub on tapes, or even stimulating your prostate by going further up your ass for the subtitled tapes at $35-40 for a handful of episodes.

Bi-lingual DVD releases, averaging four episodes per disk @ $19.99-24.99 rock the cat's ass.

On-line fansubbing rocks all over old school tape trading as well, since it completely removes the sucking cock to get new episodes angle. Although it's run by the same twats who think they're entitled to the stuff.

Yay! Yay!

Now somebody fucking release Gao Gai Gar here! >:|

I agree. Anime on TV's been great. It's especially helpful when you have a budget. Usually I'm tolarant of the editing as well, but even if the editing get's too bad, I can still get an idea of what the anime is like and buy the DVD's if the editings to the point I can't stand it. Between broadcast anime and netflix, checking out anime hasn't been easier.

i love that it's brought a bigger audience to anime and greater availability at lower cost, but i don't like watching it.
