I know it's only Sid, but it helps distinguish it from the Civ 4 version and Reynolds deserves acknowledgment just like for civ 2 and SMAC. . Got the gog company and I cannot stoplaying it. It a still so damn addictive and fun. It also gave me an excuse to bust out the Bruce Shelly strategy guide, which is filled with dozens of design notes talking about the various versions the game went through. it's not include with GoG, so grab it off Amazon. It's one of those Prima Guides when start guides were actually 230 pages and not just charts and the manual you should have gotten with the game.
It's still one of my favorite games, I'm not great at it, but I can say this my commute from work feels like 15 minutes vs an hour.
Right now just dicking around relearning the mechanics, but it feels so good to be back playing it again.
