Hmmmm, here are bands even worth seeing on each day. There are others, but not really worth it.

Friday
Garbage
The Donnas
Maktub
Smoosh

Saturday
Viva Voce
IQU
Junkie XL
Lemony Snicket

Sunday
The Pharcyde
Common
Son Volt
Pretty Girls Make Graves
Schoolyard Heroes
The Posies
Math and Physics Club

Sunday
The Decemberists
Devo
Aqueduct
Earlimart
Flogging Molly
Tegan and Sara

Weak year IMO, but there are some alright acts.

This is one of the worst Bumbershoot lineupts that I can remember, and I've been going to Bumbershoot since I was very very small (sometime in the mid 80s)...

Still, I'll probably go two days (Decemberists for me, and Ani DiFranco for the gf) since I live about a 1/4 mile from Seattle Center.

New York Dolls are playing on Friday!

Asked to reunite by former Smiths singer Morrissey, the three surviving members of the Dolls played a well-received set at England's 2004 Meltdown Festival and have since played a series of inspired, energetic reunion shows.

Holy shit, too bad that, you know, Johnny Thunders is DEAD.

Ani DiFranco cancelled i think. it is on bumbershoots main page.

Nothing beats 98 i think which was insane. Cake, Beck, some fun bands in the rock arena. It was a blur.

yeah. he plays an accordian and tells stories. I've heard it is quite entertaining.

Yeah, I've seen vids of him at bookstores. Seems like lots of fun. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't some new emo band or something.

He is also a member of the Magnetic Fields, correct?

Sort of:

Performed accordion and some keyboards on the Magnetic Fields ambitious and critically lauded "69 Love Songs." Stephin Merritt, the singer/songwriter of that band also enlisted Daniel Handler's help on the Sixths' album "Hyacinths and Thistles" and in turn Merritt has written a theme song for the audio book version of every book in the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" series. Once the thirteenth and purportedly final book is released, these songs will be compiled on a CD and released under the moniker "The Gothic Archies."
