GS: What's one thing that will surprise even diehard fans about the game?

AW: I think that has to be crash mode this time. In fact, you probably would not believe me if I tried to explain it right now. So I'll save that for next time. All I will say is that crash mode in Revenge is the best crash yet. It's not quite finished yet to talk about in detail, so we'll be saying more about that at E3.

still looks like an add on to me. I hope there's a Xbox 2 version of this.

edit: argh why can't I edit the title.

I hope not. I can forgive them a 4th game in one generation on the basis that Burnout is quality and they don't seem to have let that slip yet (exclusing people who can't see that a change in direction does not mean a drop in quality). But only if the first next-gen BO is totally blow me away worthy. I don't want my impressedness to be watered down by a halfway port that minorly upgrades game assests created for this gen, which doesn't do justice to either the idea of a next-gen BO or the capabilities of the Xbox 360.

Like it or not, it's happening kid. Next batch of EA sequels will definitely be on Xbox 2; Battlefield Modern Combat, Burnout 5, Need for Speed Most Wanted, The new bond game, SSX4 etc. We already know that BF MC and another EA game is coming to Xbox 2.

Looks like they will be super enhanced PS2 ports, or maybe Xbox ports.

Looks awesome. I'll miss the color from the last games, but the new style's pretty slick.

The old stlyle's back, it's just the tracks that are "Grittier".

It's good to hear some new info about this. :)

I never liked the crash mode. was that a big thing?

well i dont care about fucking crash mode. All i fucking care about is takedown mode. Give me that and custom soundtracks and i can play it all the freaking time. I want a team-up mode for takedown where you take down AI cars together and get points based on how well you work to getting the same car.

I cant wait for this game, i dont know how i like the style (seems like a midnight knock off with gritty) but i'll love this game no matter what probably.

Well, I hope there is a next gen Xbox 360 version of Burnout 4. It is the only version I'll consider buying. This gen is getting relegated to portable gaming after Xbox 360 is out!

I don't like the new style though.

I got the latest OPM mag with Burnout 4 on the cover. Quote from the interview:

"We were always going to bring this game out this year", he(Alex Ward) promises. "Right now we're not doing anything next generation. Criterion's always been based on Playstation 2. We specialize in that hardware, and we're out to get as much out of the system as we can, and there' still a lot more we can do. After Burnout 3 people said, "You couldn't possibly do any more,' but it was always our plan."

It is also EA's plan to have Criterion have a new Burnout game out every year from now on. :P

Which is fine but give me my Xbox 360 version. Out with the old, in with the new!
