commish said:... Hell, I don't know what question a picture of a game box answers, ever, unless it's a special edition or something rare. Just imagine if everyone posted a picture for every item they ever wanted to sell. It'd just be annoying to have to scroll through the same pictures every day. If you really think a picture answers all these questions, then just include a link to a picture.

commish said:A picture of a gamebox is 100% useless to me, unless it's a rare game. If you list the name of the game, why do you need to post a picture of the box? Some might say, "well, it proves you own the game", but it's so easy to get a picture of a game box on the internet. Doesn't prove anything.
bubnbob said:There is no solution. Nobody wants to buy your game. Deal with it.
I've bought plenty of games from people who posted no pics. Why? Because I wanted that game. I know they clearly own it.
LQX said:Also have have to bring up my suggestions again.
-6-12 hours wait rather than waiting every 150 post. Not everyone uses the 100 post per page view. Mine is on default. 6-12 hours before you can repost your items though you can edit the original. Also, once reposted the previous post should be edited if was heavy on images and text.
-Image amount and size limit along with maybe a text limit. Something basic like 3-5 images no bigger than 640x420. The less images the bigger they can be but no bigger than 1024x768. Also no wall of text which could maybe better enforced by may limiting the amount of items you can have for sale at given time to maybe 1-10 items.
-Adopt Heatware and and abandon the Google document so we can cleary check and leave feedback rather than cluttering the thread. I doubt any of is really checks it. We can also link Heatware right under our posts for easy view. We can get NeoGaf added to the system there.
http://heatware.com/
I will be in favor of all the suggestions though but it should have been more open with suggestions before the two of you made them so concrete.
knee said:I meant overall. Do we ban pics altogether? Text links only?
bubnbob said:Pics for unique items (i.e. "rare games; special editions", "electronics").
If anyone is interested they can try to find more info via google.
IMO, of course.
Well maybe 24 hours. I'm just against that 150 post think as I'm on default and dont want to change it.commish said:6-12 hour wait? That would make things far, far worse. 4 times a day, posting a wall of pictures of game boxes that someone is selling for $5 just seems like a bad idea.
Pics should be links!
Crisis said:Guys, let's just vote on these guidelines first so we can go ahead, establish them and have them enforced or not. If we keep adding things onto it, we'll never get done.
We could revisit picture sizes in, say, three months or so. It'd also give us an opportunity to evaluate what's happened and review it should these guidelines be established.
knee said:Everyone has a voice and some good ideas are coming out. We shouldn't vote based solely on your ideas for the thread.
Crisis said:You all do whatever the fuck you want. I'm not dealing with you all anymore.
Aselith said:Crisis, I didn't want to bring this up in the b/s/t thread but you're a real asshole for deleting the feedback list. I understand not wanting to deal with it anymore but there are lots of people who spent a long time trying to build a rep in that thread and it's not right of you to undermine what they've done. You chose to shepherd the list. It was your responsibility to let someone take over in your stead. You've betrayed everyone who has made transactions in that thread and done nothing to hurt xaosslug.
(._.) said:Yes to all 3 except a modification to #1. feel like the reposting of ones shop would be better set at either 100 or 200 instead of 150.
EDIT: so who is going to run the new B/S/T thread if crisis is out?
sn1pes said:No one needs to 'run' it. That's the whole point. Crisis thinks we're in such big trouble because he isn't 'running' it anymore.
All we do is just B/S/T as usual. That's all. Who cares what tirade he is on?
Wolfe said:Stay classy Crisis.
Crisis said:I don't think you're in trouble at all, nor did I think or say that I was running it. God damn, some of you are really fucking stupid. All I did was take my list offline and told all of you to fuck yourselves. This is the kind of shit I was talking about. Apparently, none of you want quote things I've actually said versus things you want everyone to think I said.
All the time, baby.
