First off, you have no proof that he has a script. How do I know? Because I was consistently able to get the exact same spot that he is able to get without a script.
Second, the "server load" issue is BS. It will never cause Neogaf to crash and even if it somehow did, it's likely that there is no way to detect that it's the cause.
He already said he doesn't use a script. I don't know why it bothers you so much that you'd rather think he's lying than trust him.
The reason this particular issue bothers me so much is because the amount of complaining about the exact same issue (except towards me) caused me to start using the thread less. I constantly get PMs like "do you still sell on the thread?" and "I haven't seen you post in a while..."
Hell, DunderHassan left the thread for a while because people were constantly (and selfishly) complaining about random shit like his pictures, formatting of his post, the fact that he was selling TOO MUCH (because of his awesome deals), etc. Other posters then started complaining because he stopped posting in the thread and they couldn't get the deals they were used to.
The complaining on this thread is too much sometimes. The people who used this thread used to abide by rule 3- "3. No need to whine" but now it's like every page there is a constant bitching about something and then a justification on why rule 3 was broken. This isn't particularly directed towards you as I've noticed the issue for the past few months. I think people should just ignore the posts that they don't like from now on or PM the offending poster about the issue.
Perfectly reasonable. It was a negative experience without leaving negative feedback. I definitely would've done the same as I think others have the right to know.
Agreed with this too. Only one person can be "first in line" and if you think you're waiting too long, tell the first buyer that you'll move on in X amount of time (preferably more than a few hours) if no transaction takes place. If the item is so popular that you have buyers lining up for it, there's never a risk of not selling the item for the price that you want. Having someone accidentally send money for an item that isn't available is just scummy because some people can't really afford to have to wait a few days with no money AND no item.
