We have the largest population of any state, we are not the largest state by landmass, we have all kinds of crazy rich people, high taxes, high cost of property, high cost of living. The money is flowing. If we can't provide basic services we are failing. Scott Adams is right and you are a shill.

Scott Adams is an interesting guy. He’s got some unique views that I appreciate. But I wouldn’t say I agree with him even most of the time. However, while “failed state” is hyperbole, the point remains that a state with the largest economy in the country and high taxes can not manage to keep the lights on. That is a failure of government at its most basic levels. And these same assholes are busying themselves fixing racist figments of their imaginations and making sure illegal residents don’t get deported to their home countries.

Nah, I just don’t think she got rich off her intellect, which seems to be the premise of your question about why Scott Adams is rich and I’m not. He found a niche and made his money off it. He also sounds like a moron every time he sips his coffee and pontificates about things. His Sam Harris conversation really told me all I needed to know about the guy: he thinks he’s got it all figured out and has that special knowledge, and it’s gone to his head.
To answer your question: I’m not an engineer. I’ve worked with dozens over the years, some much dumber than me and some much smarter. I can usually tell where I stand pretty quickly, and I like meeting people smarter than me because I think I can learn something. Scott Adams doesn’t have anything to teach me

Well I never said Kim is stupid, I just don’t think she got rich off her brains. And Scott might be good at understanding certain things that people identify with, which is why his comic was successful, but I think that’s failed to translate into...basically anything else.
