Breenbergh? Yesterday I got it twice in a row. It rotates a lot for me. Usually on Dom or TDM.
The campaign was so-so. Too many stealth sections which I don't like in general, and particularly don't like in a CoD game where I just want to shoot shit. There was also some frustrating sequences where my squadmates turn to statues and do nothing while I get swarmed - namely Price at the end of the Ghost Team mission. The graphics are impressive though with some cool action sequences, with an interesting enough story to keep things moving, and gunplay is (not surprisingly) on point.
Moved on to MP and it wasn't as disastrous as I anticipated. I'm a filthy casual potato, but was able to manage a 1.0+ K/D in my first 4-5 matches and probably would have fared even better if I had a clue about any of these maps and wasn't getting constantly snuck up on. It helped that the campaign rewards you with a Union Guard M4 blueprint, so I didn't feel underpowered weapons-wise. I fully expect SBMM to kick in soon enough though and my geriatric ass will start getting stomped.
The UI, as many others have said, is a convoluted mess. I mean, why can't I even see any sort of timer on my XP tokens? Inexcusable oversight.
You're spot on bro. The campaign was too much stealth, and eventually they sort of tried to ape Last of Us with makeshift weapons and more stealth. CoD to me is mostly just set pieces of grandeur. With the stealth and sneaking here, it feels more low key. And the few set pieces, like the highway, they weren't well done. I think the first half of the campaign was good (esp. the Mexico mission, and the all ghillied up retake), but the latter half is bottom of the barrel for me.
To be honest I even liked the Vanguard campaign better than the rest of the MW2 campaign. The flamethrower assault on the bunkers in the pacific theatre for example, the sniper level with the girl and the face off against the top nazi (i know they aped TLOU again), the final level where you rotate between all heroes... I had some fun there.
MP is decent. Its less frustrating to me than MW 2019. I think the skins are better visible and there is camping, but it seems to be less. The map design in general feels better to me. SBMM is rampant. It mix up very good games with terrible games, but I just exit out if I don't like the flow.
