Naw I have not seen Museum or Hotel despite being level 42 and having maxed out 4 guns. I still see plenty of Mercado & Farm.

Maybe the devs are adjusting Museum to make it less porous.

I can’t do auto sprint. No thank you.

I stick with mostly defaults. 120 mode on, inverted vertical everything. And turn up sensitivity 50% (reg and ads). Still trying to decide if extra 50% my sweet spot for this one though. It’s not as arcady as last one imo.

It can be nice not having to worry about pressing the sprint button manually but most of the time it's more annoying because you don't always want to sprint, especially with teamwork it can be a bit too much.

Yeah I did follow the sensitivity settings from Gamespot.

They pulled the race track map for legal issues and renamed it, but I don't know what the holdup is on the museum one. I'm sure it'll come back at some point. I guess we'll see what the changes are, if any.

I said previous page back i also used the gamespot settings and didn't like the auto crazy run with gun up in the air flailing around blocking your view haha

I kept all the settings the same but went back and changed from auto tactical sprint to just auto sprint and it's much better. Easier to slow down and go in strategically if you need to and when you DO run it's not as crazy. Made a big difference for me.

The hotel map is on rotation, I’m playing mostly the same game modes as you but am only level 27, but I have only played it maybe 2/3 times max, it’s by far the map that’s come up the least in my experience in these modes.

Thanks. After I posted this last night I did get to play that map once...once. Maybe they assume we're sick of it cuz it was one of the 4 beta maps or the rotation changes daily on which maps get featured more than others? Something's broken internally when you play the same map back to back, that kind of shit shouldn't happen. It would be cool if they brought back voting for a map before a match, but they probably won't because the time between matches is so minimal now!

I see Mercado, and Taraq the most, followed by border crossing. Hotel, and embassy don't appear as often which are my least favorite of the maps. As an F1 guy, I'm really liking the Crown Racetrack map.

Apparently you can only change the HDR settings the very first time you launch the game (series x).

I remember booting the game up and randomly changing some of the values like I always do with a new game, knowing full well that I’m gonna eventually use a guide to properly set HDR later on.

Welp, I can’t do that now. It’s either a bug or by design, but you can only change the settings ONCE. My game looks way to bright and I’m gonna have to delete and redownload to fix it.

Bad sound mixing and underwhelming soundtrack. The composer Sarah Schachner did the fantastic Infinite Warfare ost so she either phoned this one in or made a deliberate decision to keep the music lowkey.

I may hop back in for Ranked/Warzone, but in its current state it's the worst CoD launch in possibly ever. I cannot play more than 2-3 games without this game hard freezing and crashing.

Liking it so far, having fun playing 3rd person moshpit and unlocking and ranking up guns. I prefer hard hitting semi-auto battle rifles. Feels so satisfying, except the lag or whatever is absolutely brutal sometimes. Like I'll see a guy that's not looking at me, I unload over half my mag into him all head and center-mass then he immediately looks at me drrrrrr ded. Some guys are wrecking that way and it seems kind of fishy. Same thing on the border crossing map, a guy killed me, I was in cover completely, and suddenly I was dead. Watched the replay and he warped 10 feet+ onto a truck hood and 1shot me through another car. I'm guessing hacks lol but don't want to be that guy.

Apart from some low player count, I'm guessing not a ton of people have bought it yet my group included(its so lonely at the top of Olympus) its not bad. I like the maps better than MW2019, but miss some of the guns. I want the ridiculous Oden back. I find their progression system ok if not amusing, all those FN's and L1A1s all under the same manufacturer as say the MP5. There really should be more guns. Do you think there will be any additions in the future?

What system are you playing on? Here's the way I understand it: on PS5 in settings you can toggle to just play with PlayStation users. On Xbox it's a little trickier, but I hear it's a system setting not a game setting that will allow you to play with just Xbox players. PC does not have this option and are forced to play with everyone I guess? I read this somewhere yesterday so I apologize if I got it wrong. I'm playing on PS5 so I can at least verify that part. I've been playing with everybody so far but I may switch it to PlayStation only just to see if the matches are any different.

I think a wish list by a lot of players is to have a console only option so Xbox and PlayStation can play together without PC.

Of course. Every season will add 1-2 new weapons even if you don’t buy the Battle Pass. Non-buyers will just have to do a weird challenge after the season is over like “do 15 slide kills”, thats how it was in MW2019. Just took a few games on Shipment or Killhouse.

It still puts you into the tactical sprint but just not instantly every time you move forward. I'm still undecided on even having the auto sprint on... i might revert back to default i dunno. Just had a great match 24/11 so settings have been decent overall so far. The run with the gun partially blocking your view really messes with me though.

- SBMM is weaker than the previous couple games
-UI is fucking garbage
-connections have been rock solid for me
-I cant figure out if I like assault or SMG's better. I might try some semi auto's later today, any suggestions people?

Okay, sorry if you've already tried this trick. I'm playing this game on a PS5 so it may not work exactly the same. I believe on PlayStation if you go into the system settings and tweak the HDR settings then once you load up a game, it'll make you reset the HDR values again. I did this a few times by accident and it got a little annoying to have to keep redoing it. This may only work on certain games and I'm not sure about COD specifically because I have all the settings exactly where I like them and don't want to test it.

I don't know how the Series X works on a system level with HDR but if you have that option at least give it a try. Just trying to be helpful so you don't have to delete the game and download it again like you said.

Set your filter to Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint. Those three are objective heaven. Headquarters is a classic but is a little janky. Always has been. There’s always assholes on your team just going for kills but they still help out a little in their own way.

On the official website one of their posts mentioned they need to work on the UI. They know its dogshit right now. You literally can’t even see your k/d and w/l ratios.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try this later today when I play. The series x does have a system level calibration. Not too many games set the default hdr value based off the system level, but I guess MW2 does. So pretty much if your system level hdr values are calibrated correctly, you don’t need to change anything in the game itself. That’s where I screwed up.

Got my copy ready to go. Wanted to start the campaign but got sidetracked hard at mp. Never got into cod mp but last night I got myself a killstreak chain. Will be my main mp game after finishing up that overwatch battlepass.
