For someone that played every single COD on release, here are my 2 cents; I think the SP is great, a proper reboot. Instead of the Gulag you got a prison in Mexico. Instead of a dual sniper stealth mission in Russia, we got one in Spain etc. They didn't add the "No Russian" mission but they did give a nod to the guy at the end of the campaign. Also like how they al went into "Ghosts" mode for the last part. That game got a lot of flack but I think its a nice Easter egg if you can call it that. I read here some people say its not as bombastic or crazy like the old CODs but I beg to differ. If anything it became a little more realistic as in, you can't just open fire in the middle of the city and blast RPGs all over the place. Its more grounded.
The one dislike are 2 no weapon missions, especially the second one. Resident Evil 8 can pull off this crafting but COD is not a good stealth game...theres no meter to even show if you are hidden or not, you just hope they don't see you. The last mission was really bad in that regard, overpowered enemies, takes ages for you to get to anything and don't get me even on that missile command suitcase. Its interesting they put armored enemies just like in Warzone so they are much beefier but I think there's too many of them in some maps. Usually I try to go for VETERAN on every COD but I'm not so sure about this one especially for the tank mission which was kicking my ass even on normal. After the dogs hit that Vanguard was, this is like a holy grail lol.
