Can someone explain how Drawn Together happened?

Seriously, has this show been at all funny? Or even come close to being accidentally funny? Wow, its a bunch of stereotypes interacting, and a womans vagina was a monster.. and two women kissed and a bunch of guys got off to it. OH MY GOD..

does it bother anyone else as much as it does me that someone is making money off of this show? COmedy Central has gone really downhill as of late.. I remember back when it had actually funny shows..

thank God for Chappelle, Daily show, South Park and Reno 911. Also, does anyone know if they are going to do more episodes of Insomniac? Dave Atell can be funny on occasion.

Yeah, I think that's all I like as well. Dave Attell isn't doing more episodes, but he'll be doing occasional hour-long specials, like that Sloshed in Translation one. Actually, his latest debuts on the 14th, which features him in Germany.

There used to be a time when I could turn on Comedy Central and there'd always be something rather decent to watch but not now. Damned Mad TV is on all the time, and that Blue Collar TV shit. Wanda's show isn't interesting, and most of their recent attempts at new shows have sucked in my opinion.

A lot of shit has been done in the last year or two though: Drawn Together, Kid Notorious, Crossballs, Bonzai, Trigger Happy TV, Shorties Watching Shorties, The Graham Norton Effect, I'm With Busey, etc. The Man Show seems to be gone, although I don't really miss that. Crank Yankers is typically awful as well.

As much as I hate to admit it, South Park ruined Comedy Central in alot of ways.. South Park is edgy original humor that happened to become really popular. Now it seems they are trying to make hit shows with mass apeal and not good original comedy.

Back when we had Strangers with Candy, Politically Incorrect, Upright Citizens Brigate, and they would show SNL and Kids in the Hall all the time. Man Show was good back in the day, and then there was Ben Stein and all of his shows. Not coincidently, the last show they put on TV that had no buisness being a big hit was Chappelle show, and low and behold that is their biggest hit in years. I wish they would just let original comics do original stuff. :(

I agree with virtually everything stated in this thread so far, although I would like to add some intense hatred for Wanda Sykes and anything she has done, is doing now, and will ever do. Jesus Christ, that woman is not funny.

Well, I remember a time when I would turn on Comedy Central and see Ghostbusters... turn it on some other time and see Ghostbusters... and then visit my folks' place, turn it on, and see Ghostbusters.

Oh, wait, it still is that way! YArr!

The first episode was terrible but I really enjoyed the second one.

Uh...huh? I personally though the first one was quite bad but had some decent jokes and might hold promise, but the second episode was one of the worst spent half hours of my life.

CC has access to tons of really funny and talented comedians who i'm sure all have their own ideas for shows that they'd like to get off the ground. I'd like to see the Dane Cook show myself. Anyone wanna start a petition?

They need to bring back The Upright Citizens Brigade!
It's still on. They show it on weekdays in the daytime and weekends in...I forget, but I know the still show it along with Strangers with Candy. What they need to bring back is Kids in the Hall. The show was butchered on CC, but still >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than madtv or any of the other rerun shit on CC now. The night marathons were great.

^^^ Yeah it still airs, but in a really weird order. Weekdays at 11 am they show two eps of an original CC show. It switches every week, Strangers with Candy, Trigger Happy TV, Crank Yankers etc.

........and for the record, I love this show. It's the funniest original show I've seen in quite a while.
