I think it's so refreshing that instead of being viewed as slutty celebrities, they're being viewed as normal people who are victims in this scenario.

android backs my photos up on google plus or something like that automatically. im guessing ios automatically back up photos the same way. i would find a way to turn it off if i felt like taking nudes but a lot of people might not even realize their phone is doing this.

On the one hand, I find this invasion of privacy is disgusting. But on the other, I just looked at the leaked pics like everyone else.

I can't believe iCloud could be this vulnerable. It could be weak passwords but with SO MANY cases its strange.
Except it's a big troll and no one is actually doing that.
I wonder how much the existence of bitcoin contributed to this. Like, these people were asking for donations and stuff, from what I saw. An anonymous currency scheme like bitcoin, allowing people to give them money without needing an address/email/etc. surely must have contributed to the fact that they leaked them.

Those photos look like they were filtered through Instagram which she had to have DM'd to someone which in turn saved it on her phone/uploaded onto iCloud. Deleting it from her phone wouldn't make it gone from iCloud I think unless its resynced
EDIT: Actually that might not even matter. iCloud can be used to store backups of your entire phone. Those pics could have been in stored in an older backup and can easily be extracted from it.

I think it's cause he's seeing Allison Brie and the photos leaked of her included him. He's James Franco's brother. Feel sorry for the women involved, they may be famous and used to increase exposure but a lot of this stuff is very personal, and clearly sent to a loved one.
The security of cloud-stored data is an important topic, but everything else... Why are people so obsessed with nude celebrities. Everytime an average looking person has her privacy violated by some leaked photos, which are usually completely unremarkable and boring, surprisingly many people go completely nuts over it.

As a Miley Cyrus fan I have known about how all these celebrities have been hacked for months. Many people have access to these iclouds but don't leak much because of password changes and possible closure of iclouds completely.
This is just a couple guys that decided to say screw that and have started to leak things. I am sure the people who also had access to these celebrities accounts are very angry at them.
Miley's icloud was hacked and people were leaking info from it for a long time. Miley doesn't give a fuck about that tho. Like she has said "Don't try and deny anything because somewhere someone on the internet is going to have a picture"
