That's the key, and Carls just can't compete with that consistency throughout their chain.
Maybe it is a placebo effect due to marketing.imo In-N-Out is all about freshness.
Are they copying that too?

2. I was hyped to try In-n-Out burger but left underwhelmed. A year passed before I tried it for a second time recently and it was even worse than I remembered. Five guys, shake shack and Wendy's are much better.
I was looking for this. Was not disappointed.
Lose the onions and that looks pretty good.
I really need to try In-N-Out. Everyone from my area who has traveled and tried them tell me it's barely one step above McD's and far, far below Hardee's/Carl's Jr, Five Guys, etc. But, everyone on the west coast (or wherever) swears by them.
Whoops, seems they missed the mark.
I don't know. That bun looks a little too ridiculous. I can't have full confidence that nobody messed with this to make it look worse than normal.
It's just a burger.Good luck with that. Carl's Jr is disgusting
It's just a burger.
