Man Carmageddon 2 was SO good, it's awesome to see the name/IP still pop up after all of these years. I hope it does better than that last game did.

Yeah man, I played that so much as a boy ha.

I hate roguelikes but it actually intrigues me, it has potential to be great imo.

Fucking loved Carmageddon 2 back in the day. Teenage me thought it was so badass driving around listening to Iron Maiden and plowing over people + animals, hoping for that dismemberment or pancake bonus.

It could work as a roguelike. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Carmageddon 2 was my favourite game on my first PC, and I probably spent over 1,000 hours playing it.
+ Driving over pedestrians and cows was both funny and enjoyable. You might think that a game like that would turn people into cold-blooded killers, but it never happened to me :P.
+ Amazing car destruction. I had a great time wrecking my cars in every way possible, but my favourite thing was splitting cars in half.
+ Amazing soundtrack
+ Amazing graphics. The levels were huge and full of secrets and things to do. I also remember being impressed by the level of detail in the cars, especially the transparent windows, because back then, most racing games still used black windows.

Despite the bad reception, I also liked Carmageddon: TDR 2000. If the new Carmageddon game can capture the essence of these old games, I'm all in!

Watched the Main Trailer for Carmageddon: Rogue Shift, and it's been on my mind.

Never played any Carmageddon (yet), but I can understand longtime series fans having reservations about this. From what I get, it's a series known most for freeform driving violence, so a roguelite car combat game does go somewhat against that. But this is also a spinoff, so I don't think I would personally take issue with that.

As it stands, I do like going fast and firing weapons, so I'm still willing to give this game a shot at the moment. Might be cool.
