Cartoons You'd Like to See Brought Back?

Or put onto DVD?

Watching Deliverence for the first time ever really made me think back to when I would watch cartoons on TV. Not adult themed cartoons, but kids cartoons. Specifically Deliverence made me think of the Tiny Tunes movie. The one where they went on vacation and canoed or rafted down a river and had some oddly familiar things happen to them. Minus hillbilly rape of course.

I don't know if I'd like to see Tiny Tunes brought back but I'd LOVE to see Animaniacs put back on TV or released on DVD. Animaniacs was great no matter how old you were, with it's major referrences to more adult things. There was a section of the show called Goodfeathers, any little kid who's watching that show would have no idea what it was spoofing. I remember an episode poking fun at Howard Stern and Robin Quivers as well...

What cartoons you look back on fondly would you like to see released in a DVD set?

They did a rebroadcast of this about three years ago on Cartoon Network... man was it horrible. I really thought it was good when I was younger.

I can't think of any cartoon I liked as a child that has held up. Anything that I still find entertaining and creative came before and after my childhood.

EDIT: The original He-Man was horrible compared to the new series they tried and gave up on. It's a shame too, guess we'll never get dvds of the new show.

I'm glad Grandpa porked a Chinese Muslim
Among things already mentioned:

Exosquad! Stupid bastards supposedly got into some copyright trouble when they started using Robotech designs in their toy line (although I've also heard they had permission), and ended the series on a stupid cliffhanger with a planet devouring alien thing.

It's still shown in syndication, but I'd really like new Home Movies episodes. I still can't believe it's over. :( Same goes for Futurama.

Also: good Simpsons episodes.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.

Part of me gets some perverse satisfaction out of backwards-ass fundamentalist relgious types suffering of their own accord. But beyond that initial reaction, I think of how sad it must be to be born into a society with no choice but indoctrination and conformity. The guise of religion softens the perception of such preordinance being unjust, but in reality these strict religious cultures are no less disturbing than a socially determinate totalitarian state.

I pity these women. Really makes me appreciate my freedom.

That afternoon...

I'd knock over a few tombstones if it meant getting The Tick back on the air. I'd do the same for Futurama.

OK, not ALL are purely kid shows, but...

Futurama
Batman: TAS
Ren & Stimpy
The Tick
Animaniacs
Mighty Mouse (The John K. one)
Invader Zim
Dr. Katz

First tragedy, then farce.
Tick
Freakazoid
Space Ghost C2C
Brack Show (old talk show format, not the new one)
Futurama (killed it just as it had found itself)
Darkwing Duck (respect bitches)
Denver the last Dinosaur... you know you loved it.

most of the shows of my actual youth I dont want to see brought back.. simply because Im pretty sure they were all horrible. I really dont want to see my childhood ruined by discovering how stupid they all were.

Brand new day, time to play with Roobear and his friends.
Where summer never ends. Koalas show you how to
fly a plane, catch a wave, there's nothing we won't try.
Lots to do, fun starts here with you and me...
Look up there, way up high, koalas in balloons,
laughter's on its way to you...
Laura, Nick and Roo, Mimi and Floppy, too…waiting here for you.
Brand new day, time to play with Roobear and his friends.
The fun and laughter never ends.
Koalas lead the way...on a sunny day...we all love to play...

Anyone?

Darkwing Duck!
I would enjoy seeing these again. They might be somewhat interesting now unlike most of the shows I watched as a kid that are now awful from an older perspective

The Tick as well.

FINALLY! :D

Oddly enough, during the run up to the (shitty) movie, Fox aired the 80s cartoon in the after-school cartoon block for...awhile. It was quite the fucking trip.
