Smurfs
Darkwing Duck
Aladdin
Sailor Moon (well, it kept me entertained in the mornings before school at least, poor writing and horrid dub notwithstanding)
Tom & Jerry (The "Itchy and Scratchy was based on this" old versions, not the 70s-present day "we can talk; let's be friends" variety)

DaCocoBrova

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
The Little Prince

The little Prince...
From Outer Space...
Can catch a Shooting Star and Sail Awaaaaay!

I kid...

Has no one mentioned...

yeah, that post fell more into the "want them to bring it back" category. :)

It'd be great if Cartoon Network could pick it up. I wouldn't mind seeing Vasquez doing a JTHM cartoon for Adult Swim as well.

Mysterious Cities of Gold! - They need to finish their adventure and find the other cities!!!!

Exo-Squad - to be put out on DVD. Didn't really like the idea of an alien invasion. I think the series ended very well.

A new American Transformers - After watching four godawful Japanese series it shows that only American/Canadian headed productions (first TF and Beast Wars (best damn TF series ever made)) can make TF work.

They need to bring back Batman Beyond, Batman: TAS and Superman: TAS (maybe not this one, considering how it actually had a great ending and sorta leads to JLA.).

I think the people who do Megas XLR could make a decent version of Transformers animation wise. They'd need a few better writers to make it as stellar as Beast Wars though.

I'd like to see Mummies Alive back, I used to love that cartoon. Thundercats is an excellent idea, I also would love to see a new update of that.

Another thing I really want to see back is Alvin and the Chipmunks. I used to love that cartoon and it's songs when I was a kid. I think that shows format could work out so cool for todays generation of kids. Alot of us geezers would probably hate it, but I'd love to see them singing current songs from today in those hilariously cute chipmunk voices.

I also think what would be cool for today would be a Garbage Pail Kids cartoon. I heard in the 80s they tried to make one but parental groups killed it, today though, this would be a great sickening cartoon for kids to watch.

There was a sequel in the works, but lack of funding and TV studio interest suspended the project. :(

Are you serious? The lack of funders must die!

That being said, I agree with this suggestion. Best cartoon ever, and 10% educational too! :D

Evenball

Jack Flack always escapes!
Skysurfer Strike Force (very underrated cartoon)
Galaxy Rangers
The Racoons!!!!!!!!
Samurai Pizza Cats (I have almost every single episode on VHS, but I'd like HQ DVD versions)
Rambo(LOL, I actually have one episode on VHS I recorded in 1986, it's so bad, it's good)

Ducktales.

But if its anything like Quack Pack, I'd be sad. For those of you who haven't seen it, it was basically Huey, Duey, and Louie acting cool, dressed as hip teenagers. Because of course nobody wants to watch ducks go on adventures, when you can watch them play paintball and swoon over girls.(human girls no less. Bastards totally ruined the Duckberg continuity)

I don't think they could pull of GI JOE again either. They'd try to modernize it, and it wouldn't work out well.

As others said, a new American Transformers could definitely work. I'd love to see it.

Jill Sandwich

the turds of Optimus Prime
I think all bases have been covered. Ullyses 31, Around the World with Willy Fogg, Dungeons and Dragons, Transformers, Dogtanian and the 3 Muskehounds and Battle of the Planets are all on DVD. M.A.S.K. , Thundercats, Visionaries and Centurions are probably on the way too. Mysterious Cities of Gold can't come soon enough!

I'd have loved the Goddamn George Liquor Program to come to TV (can you still get the shockwave episodes anywhere, including the Christmas special?)
I thought Space Ghost C2C was on DVD already? When are the Ren & Stimpy ones out?

Darkwing Duck
Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers
Thundercats
Danger Mouse
Count Duckula (or whater it was called)
and BananaMan!
Without that crow Eric would've been fucked.

I don't think I've seen Wacky Races, and maybe my memory's scrwed up, but were those characters in something else called Stop The Pigeon? Everyone was flying planes trying to catch a pigeon.
I've heard that show called many names, so I don't know what the actual title is, but yeah. It was about Dastardley trying to catch a carrier pigeon sending a message to US intelligence or something.

There's something REALLY wrong here when there's only ONE mention of SWAT KATS thus far..........

Goddamn, did this cartoon dish out some serious ownage or what? The jet was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC....

This thread is still missing Rocko's Modern Life.

And the ALF cartoon that was set on ALF's home planet.
alftales.jpg

I'd probably buy Gilligan's Planet on DVD if I could get the complete run of episodes (eight total) for $10.99.

Already on DVD. I believe they just released the 3rd season. Really wish Nick hadn't canceled it though.
At least they didn't fire the creators, then make their own episodes themselves, perverting the original in a shameful attempt to make it a money whore. Worst network ever!

I was on board this train until I saw the new episodes of Ren and Stimpy on TNN/SpikeTV. You know, the episodes that the creators said that they always meant to make, but Nickelodeon wouldn't let them do.

Know what? They sucked.

My conclusion was that Nickelodeon's leash, no matter how much it pissed John K. off, kept the show from being 22 minutes of fart jokes and innuendo about Ren and Stimpy's sexuality.

SAMURAI PIZZA CATS

I don't think I could agree with this post any more. I even did the SPC fan club oath.

Basically already posted:
The Tick
Batman TAS
Futurama
Rocko's Modern Life
Ren and Stimpy (Not Spike TV BS)

Welcome to Eltingville. Where's the love, yo?

Well I'm late to the dance, so all the best the major ones have been called for (DuckTales, 2 Stupid Dogs, the Critic, even Mysterious Cities of Gold!). I'm also glad Alf got mentioned; that show was so good (even Alf-Tales!).

Don't know why, but I'd love to see Droids back.

Oh, M.A.S.K. is a gooood choice!

And what's that cartoon called where all the vehicles had to activate before use and transformed into the plane/car etc. The good guys had white space shuttles (large and a small one) which could latch onto eachother. I had a few toys of them.

I believe it was called Air*com or something

It was Star*Com :) Man, I loved that show when I was a wee lad of 4.

These are the toys I was talking about:
starcom.jpg

The toys were really cool, they all had buttons which when pressed activated the vehicle. Like that little plane's wings could fold up alongside the body and when you pressed the button they would slowly go down. All the figures had magnets in their feet and the vehicles had metal plates so you could attach them and stuff.

Wow, nostalgia overdose

The Tick
Ren And Stimpy minus "LOOK GAY JOKES CAUSE IT COOL TO SAY GAY STUFF LOOK LOOK OOO OO GAY JOKES!!"
Silver Hawks
G.I. Joe on at a normal hour not 2 am like CN started to do - What DVD is the Pyramid Of Darkness on?
SAMURAI JACK!
Gummi Bears
Duck Tales
Darkwing Duck

nostalgia is a strange thing...I've seen some of the "great 80's toons" recently and I must have been smoking something.
