You know what would really fit them? The Witcher. It's a violent dark fantasy setting with interesting characters and pretty close to Castlevania.

Oh god, please let it happen. I never got to play any Metroid games because this poor shit never got any Nintendo system past the GameBoy Color.

I really enjoyed Castlevania too, so if this would turn out like it, I'd definitely enjoy this too.
