finally!

thanks wario!

Looks great. Especially in the last pic when the screens aren't blown up way over correct proportions.

Err, that's most certainly not the kind of Castlevania character art I've come to expect...

The game looks hot, though.

Never played a Castlevania. What makes them so special?

You serious? You've never played a CV game?

Wellll...you've got your action based CV titles on one side (the best of which is Rondo of Blood for PCE -- at least IMO) and you have your "Metroid-like" exploration based CV titles (the best of which is Symphony of the Night -- which I prefer to even Super Metroid).

I don't really know what else to say. Give them a try, I guess, though you'll probably fail to see the magic in this day and age.

That looks nice! I dig the character concept art. Reminds me of 80's era anime (and that's a good thing in my book btw!)

Anyone else getting a DS because of this? :P

Yes. Me. At the moment it is the only known DS game I want. Dynasty Warriors DS would be the other but we know nothing on it so far except for a couple small tidbits.

Ok I take back everything bad I said about Castlevania DS. Where is the real IGA hiding? Someone else obviously made this.

I just watched the Mario Kart DS video too...... I guess I'll be getting a DS in 2005 after all! :lol

The "art" looks more like anime cells then artÂ…

I kinda wish they would stop resizing the screenshotsÂ… It looks hot nevertheless.

reminds me of the old NES version with SNES graphics.

could end up fun if so. suprised they did not push the graphics though more.

Wow, I did not see that coming. It's a pleasant surprise to see that the character art isn't the usual Kojima fare (though I like her work too), and reminds me of the Rondo anime scenes. The in-game shots don't blow me away, but they look good enough. I just hope it plays well.

Pretty neat implementation on the touch screen to progress by carving out a path out of the ice. The music sounds great and the bosses look sweeeet. I can't really tell how well it animates with the crappy streaming video though. Looking forward to this one!

Castlevania DS is simply mindblowing, those bosses are freaking crazy, the animations, enemies gah this game is easily my most anticipated tital now regardless of platform.

SNES graphics? Are you fucking kidding me? I thought the GBA claims were bad.

Anyway, that video is awesome. Anyone up for resizing (and hosting I guess) the stupidly blown up screens?

The music sounds back up to PSX quality, I remember how much people complained about the GBA ones for the iffy audio, heh.

When is this susposed to come out?

The video is fucking awesome. Any haters basing their opinion on the screens should watch the video before saying anything.

Finally a new 2d castlevania with SOTN level graphics and sound. The GBA was definitely holding back the series.

i think they should exchage the usage of the two screen. the top one should be use for gameplay. the bottom one should then be the item / map (3d like metroid prime). then, we can use the touch screen to easily change items and nativage the map.

I was never really impressed with the GBA Castlevania games due to them feeling like watered down SOTN wannabe's, but this game may actually be the SOTN follow up I've wanted after watching the Gamespot video.

holy shit!!!! I've never really played the new castlevania games like AoS, SotN, and HoD more than a few minutes when over a friends place, but this game is seriously looking phenomenal. That video makes me want to play all the GBA games. Any suggestions on where to start? I mean an order of which games to play?

I felt this way, before I found out they were going to use the touch screen for more than boss fights. Switching it for just bosses would have been okay, but with these block puzzles and perhaps other things we don't know of yet, it could get annoying.

It'd be nice to be able to pause the game and bring the map onto the lower screen to mark locations of objects though if we wanted to.
