I hope Witcher 3 has a barbershop like the Witcher 2's, or at the very least one added in post-release. It was a really great little feature to have, more games should have something like that when there's a set protagonist. It adds so much to the game!

It just doesn't feel right for my Geralt to not be rockin' his Witcher 1 haircut.

But the three lines in the new one are the big bad's (or one of) friggin helmet, which wouldn't suggest they are being any more or less friendly

W3 will have an shallower learning curve mind and an easier transition into the narrative and world than 2 had. It's a pretty easy place (with what's going on) to pick a story up from. Much like ME3

What seems a like slightly different Geralt design, at least in terms of hairstyle :

Did they upgrade his hair to HairWorks yet? Could be that.
