Fatman Scoop

US rapper Fatman Scoop has died aged 53 after collapsing at concert on Friday in Connecticut, his representative has told the BBC.

He was halfway through his set at the Town Center Park in the city of Hamden when he collapsed on stage.

Mayor Lauren Garrett said in a post to Facebook that the rapper was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

But his booking agency, MN2S, confirmed his death in a statement to the BBC, saying the New York native's "legacy will live on through his timeless music".

Seems to be some family drama. Apparently one of his sons isolated Mr. Amos, who was suffering from dementia and congestive heart failure, from the rest of his family over the past year. Probably so can be sole beneficiary of his father's estate. Manipulation of a man who didn't always know what was going on. The other members of his family released a statement.

I just googled why fentanyl is so popular. It's also easy to make too. And easy to move around the country. So I guess move over stereotypical drug OD'er on coke and heroin.

Well, end of the day some people and industries just cant help themselves. And celebs and singers are always susceptible to overdosing on drugs or committing suicide being wacko.

All I know is if I got rich and famous, I'd chill out in a nice house with a nice car and coast. Why fuck it up with drugs all day. Just enjoy life being sober and chill. A lot of hassles everyday joes have to incur..... paying bills, broke, shitty job, loner with no cool hollywood friends etc... is a non issues going forward.

I used to say that as well until it hit me. Thankfully I'm back again on the right track. The problem is your mind thinking upside down in depression, your view on some things changes completely and it can happen all of a sudden.

In my case I started perceiving my closest friends and family as my enemies, everything I liked to do became annoying, I would get irritated by smallest stupid things.

"You can always find something to look for in the future." - that's what a healthy mind can see but once the chemistry in your brain gets fucked up it's not so easy. It's terrifying how much different my mindset was back then, I felt almost like a different person.

Unless you're in that position you can't really understand it. Yeah it's selfish/cruel and you should seek help but it's easy to say that. When you're that depressed and suicidal you're not thinking properly.

For a long time the only thing stopping me killing myself was the thought of hurting my family. At one point I didn't care about that anymore and wanted to die no matter what. I stopped caring about my family and I didn't think it was selfish. I was suffering so much and thought it was selfish of my family to want me to stay alive even though I was in so much pain. I was thinking if they really love me then they'd let me die.

Your mind is completely fucked up and your body wants to destroy itself. Yes you should try get help but not everyone can manage that unfortunately.

You're missing my point. I never said its easy, I do however think its chicken shit, no matter how you guys may think of me, asshole or whatnot. Im sorry you guys went through that but you are still here which means you did the right thing. I may not be clinically depressed and I have a roof over my head but I am in no way or form in a good place either. Even if Id end up with nothing and homless, I still would never kill myself. Even when theres is literally nothing left for you, ending ur life is not a solution. Call me evil, but thats how I see it. Besides, this guy is rich. Love suicide is even worse. I have no good things to say about it, assuming ofc, that was his reason. Sorry if this post will offend you but it is what it is.
