There are some politicians that are even more famous than most actors or singers, so I'm not following your logic.

I don't understand what your point is though. That same argument can be applied to singers, actors, athletes, or anyone other type of profession.
Cebeleirity is basically just a very famous person, and the reach of said fame is relative.

I'd argue that most of the celebrities in that video, including the politicians & heads of state are known across the world, certainly the Western world.
You make it seem like they're featuring some random local Mayor. Are you really going to argue that people across the world haven't heard of Obama, Queen Elizabeth, or Trump?
