CES: Bill Gates keynote streaming.

OMG no wonder the crowd didn't find conan funny, they're all over 80! All in all this show will have some moments that'll linger in our memories forever.

It´s a german name, If I recall correclty then the "e" is pronounced as an E and not an a...
I can even stretch out to "Porsch", with a silent E, but never porscha... :)
 
He didn't say anything about Xenon, except that it will connect to all that media center crap and Live! will allow you to communicate via messenger, probably allow you to check your mail too, and Xenon is gonna connect to the PC. You can store pictures on it too.

WTF are you talking about?!?!

It's pronounced Porscha. And yes, I work for a german manufacturer who supplies fasteners and chemicals to Porsche.

I'm German. The "e" is not silent.

The vocal at the end of Porsche is the German way to pronounce an "e" and is close to the English pronounciation of "a".

Conan's opening segment was great. Rest of the conference was somewhat interesting, and even though I don't care for realistic racers at all, Forza sounded interesting as well.
 
I have only skimmed over the thread, but this presentation sounds awesome!

Please post a link if there is a place to download the whole thing! The link that Ghost of Bill Gates posted does not work for me.
 
Okay, I got the video link working in IE....apparently FireFox was the problem.

I just fast-forwarded to the Forza stuff. I'm not a Microsoft groupie by any means, but these fuckups stilll make me embarassed and uncomfortable to watch. I always feel bad whenever someone is screwing up or bombing on stage. The BSOD was sad, as was Conan's 2 frames per second Buick....

What other things should I watch for maximum comedy?

I forgot what the timer is, but there's one spot where the Media Center doesn't work and Conan cracks a joke on Bill asking "Who's in charge of this stuff?" *looks at Bill "Oh..."
 
I watched about 70 % of the thing at work tonight. not really worth watching. pretty BLEH.

better to read the CNET article.

Though I agree with you

I just found it funny, he was praising it's customization feature as unique and special, only to call it a little dry and boring at the end.

Wrong choice of words maybe?
