the whole stem cell thing will be standard in a few years and people will look back wondering what the controversy was all about. The stance Bush and christian groups are taking on this now is pointless.
:lol so much crap goes on here that i just totally miss, there was a riot in the town centre the other day i must have been 5 minutes down the road, i should buy a local paper or something
Great news, HalfPastNoon. I wish you the best, and I also have hopes for my younger brother's diabetes. CF must be terrible to have--I hope you get the treatment you need.
Hey, HalfPastNoon did you ever watch the Real World: San Diego. The one bitchy roommate Frankie supposedly has CF and was always complaining about not being able to do things because of it, but I never saw her on the show have any complications from it. Did you think she really had CF or was just bullshitting. Is CF way worse than how it was portrayed there.

If you're optimistic, yes. But you could also predict that in a few years, even thinking about using stem cells will be socially deviant, and people will wonder how we ever thought of doing something so "atrocious".

I only watched a few shows after my friends told me about it. Not being able to do things? Such as? If you have a really bad case, then yeah, you're not doing anything other than lying in a bed reciving oxygen while a pump administers feedings through a stomach tube(Something I've had since I was 15.). My case is mild, however.
I would say it's definitely worse than what was potrayed on the few episodes I watched. Didn't Frankie also smoke? If I were to take up smoking, I'd be in the hospital within a week.
Definitely, my family has already discussed those options. Eventually, I'll need a lung-transplant, and we've already decided that San Antonio will not be the city in which I recieve the organs. List is too long and organs are sparse.
I'm too much into cars. When you said CF I thought Carbon Fiber. I was like who in the hell spent time thinking about how to make Carbon Fiber stem cell lines? The world in nuts!
