Yeah, that's true. Anyway, Texas is loaded & according to wikipedia, they only field 18 varsity teams. Seems manageable.

Rutgers/Maryland faced so much pushback for cutting sports, but the thing with these schools is the nonrevenue sports aren't funded nearly enough, I know personally Rutgers nonfootball facilities are subpar for pretty much every sport.

Mind you Rutgers/Maryland also have way more sports than the average university, with Rutgers at 27.

edit. What i'm trying to say, is I believe that $140k is just trying to keep the lights on.

Not a B1G fan, but clearly The Minnesota mascot is the best because it's the only one that doesn't look like its from a 1920's cartoon or some badger/buckeye head that is 4 feet wide.

There's a ton of male nonrevenue sports still out there as well. They're first on the chopping block.
