As with all leaks take it with a grain of salt.

Update:

It could be a fake design.

Another Update:

It could be real 😂

Two sizes, huh? So two SKUs?

I think this is a comparison with the OG Switch. You can see in a later image where they're comparing the backs that the smaller one has the old style kickstand flap instead of the new wider one.

Edit: In the same image you can also see that the smaller one has the old joycon rails instead of the new magnetic locks.

Looks like buying a third party controller if you don't have 5 years old child sized hands is back on the menu boys.

The irony of a so called "gameplay centric" console not including a decent controller is through the roof :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Some of those codes seem to match up with the shipping manifest.

The question is will the smaller model have docking capabilities?

Switch S and Switch X

Normal and lite models maybe? Could be why someone thought it was dual screens

There probably is no second SKU. It's just a size comparison with the original Switch:

I think this is a comparison with the OG Switch. You can see in a later image where they're comparing the backs that the smaller one has the old style kickstand flap instead of the new wider one.

Ugh, those tiny controllers.

Confused What Is This GIF
etc.

I bought some 3rd party larger joycons which transformed the system's usability and am genuinely surprised that Nintendo haven't done something to improve the sequel to the Switch's* ergonomics. Maybe their core market really does have child sized hands. Unthinkable, but possible.

*wildly successfull, billion selling, yes, yes.

Good eye.

That's definitely a comparison render. It's an exact match to the original Switch.

Yep since I got my SplitPad Pro, handheld gaming is way more fun. Too bad they don't have vibration (I know there are other brands with vibration like NYXI) but they feel reaaaally good.

Joycons with back paddles is crazy if true. Sony and microsoft will sell that to you for $200.

I really hope the lauch console comes with OLED. I hate all the rumours stating otherwise.

edit: people really got mammoth hands in this thread, huh? I beat Ornstein and Smough with joycons on a bus for my first time.

I'm having difficulty parsing how the controllers are secured. It doesn't seem to have the metal rail sliding mechanism of the original.

I guess the idea is to be backwards compatible with the original joycons?

Was also expecting a bigger difference.

Doesn't appear the old Joycon can be connected to Switch 2. There are no opening slots to slide a rail. Just a "hole" in the side of the Switch 2 to directly attach the new one.

How many GameCubes taped together? Someone figure out the FLOPS situation

Nah, no rails. Look carefully, there's nothing locking or rail-like about the side of the joycon, nor does the console have a place to slide anything in. Thus the magnets. Maybe, they did this to reduce wear and tear on inserting/removing the joycons, it might also be more secure just for holding and playing it without putting so much pressure on a rail. I don't like how it feels if I take one hand off the Switch and its entire weight is supported by one joycon rail.

Day 1 preorder hopefully.

Have to get rid of those joycons asap. Hopefully hori will have something close to launch. Once I got the split pad pros I never connected the joycons ever again.

Also, hopefully I can use my 8bitdo ultimate on it.
