Chappelle drops "8:46" mini special.

"Drops" I thought he was forced to cancel something he was working on.

Dave is the man, funny and deep.

Candace's response isn't good, imo.

You can respect people having their own opinions, and not be a cancel culture idiot, while not offering a completely weak response like that.

It wasn't a comedy routine, from what I understand. He straight up insulted her, and she's responding by conservative virtue signalling about not trying to get him cancelled.

She should defend herself and address the points he made. That isn't cancel culture or getting triggered. It's a logical, interesting (for an audience) counter-perspective.
You crazy. She handled that like a champ.

Just watched this Chappelle thing.

So in the beginning he starts off by saying, “We don’t need celebs saying what they feel...“ and, “Who cares what celebs think, blah blah blah...”
...and then he spends 27 minutes saying what he feels.

C’mon!!

I love Dave's work. This here, is cringe-worthy, lowest common denominator, garbage. Saying the black woman who constantly challenges blacks has a stanky pussy is one of the most cringe-worthy things I have ever seen . I would have rather seen a funny uncle Tom joke.

Anytime Michael Brown is mentioned, it is clear that anyone talking about it or agreeing with it doesn't care about any logic at this point. It's only agenda. Who can say the names of those 13 officers gunned down in racial hate? The best he could say is he understood why it happened. Very shameful Dave.
I'm kinda glad I didn't watch it yet. I may still, but this is exactly what I was expecting when I first heard about this.

He has 4 sets on Netflix now and 2 of them were non-comedy lectures and storytelling sessions that are labeled as comedy specials. The other 2 are fucking hilarious. I like Dave when he's doing comedy, but can't really stand him when he thinks he's speaking for all of humanity on something and calls it a comedy show.

I like Dave Chappelle, but I wasn't feeling this one.

I'm glad he's willing to express himself earnestly with no filter, it's something I wish more people would do.
It's interesting that he rags on Candace Owens in particular. even though she's one of the few people actually openly speaking on actual issues plaguing black Americans communities the most today.
Yet he called her "the worst" and an "articulate idiot." An educated black woman openly discussing on the issues of extreme rates of black on black violence, a nearly 70% rate of black single motherhood, poor education within black communities. Of all the people to aim his ire towards, that had me shaking my head tbh.

He makes such an emotional rant for what happened to George Floyd, and understandably so, but was noticeably less concerned for innocent police officers being murdered in retaliation for an unrelated incident.

Was more of an emotional rant than standup.
That's basically what I felt when watching it this morning.

I can understand his pain, but I hoped for a bit less of a one sided view when it comes to these issues.

I think you missed the point of that intro and conclusion.
