Chavez vs. Bush at UN

he put forth a pretty solid arguement.

:lol :lol
World leaders at the summit had been asked to speak for five minutes, but Chavez ran long, and when the presiding diplomat passed him a note saying his time was up, he threw it on the floor. He said if Bush could speak for 20 minutes, so could he.

When he finally stopped, he got what observers said was the loudest applause of the summit.

In all honesty, I do like the idea of moving the United Nations to a city in the developing countries.

Yeah, I haven't kept up on Chavez really. I know he was democratically elected yet for some reason he's a "problem". What's the deal with this guy?

The problem with that is that it would then be much easier for U.S. forces to "accidently" drop munitions on it during "training exercises" than with it in NY. (At least if it's anywhere near a U.S. overseas base anyway.)

I'd like to say, "yeah, right, like people wouldn't be hung for that."

But then, Iraq has happened, and no one seems to have been hung over that. So, fuck you america, somethings broke inside of you.

Oh, don't get me started on the U.N. and Bush's wonderful antics there. Moreover, moving the U.N. headquarters probably wouldn't do much good at this point, even though he has a point. By the time they get around to shifting, the bungling boy king will be gone.

Chavez finally calls it like it is. I was afraid that nobody with any clout in the UN would say anything (not that Chavez has clout), especially since Blair has been pussified. WTF is up with T-Bone anyway?

Bush is still harping the same lame-o shit that he has been for years now. Even conservative critics don't think he's making sense anymore. I don't get it. I say we recall him or something. Or drown him with pretzels.

All I have to say is that if every country's people were smart enough to vote LEADERS like Chavez this world would be a much MUCH better place. It's our fault it isn't and for that I'll always have some hate for humanity for being so fucking stupid.

To the Holy Land, NWO indeed.......

The NWO is going to be a whole bunch of States...all United into one. They shall rule the globe with an iron fist.

Yadda yadda yadda Armegeddon yadda.

Well it boils down to this....

If youre in venezuela and youre poor or working class you love chavez.

If youre in Venezuela and youre wealthy you probably hate his guts.

A lot of people think he's a communist dictator in the making a la castro.

well this is a part of it. Really he's essentially Venezuela's Bush, but unlike bush he has some good ideas. Everyone wanted him recalled and when the recall election went through there was election fraud anywhere UN observers said that there's a 90% chance at least that the election was rigged.

Further his regime is incredibly corrupt, he's employed the cuban secret service to investigate venezuelan citizens and can detain them much like the Bush admin can (IE: Indefinetly, without a trial etc). While I admire his standing up to Bush, and some of the things he said by and large no sir, I don't care for the man.

He's a left-wing version of Bush.

I like Chavez a lot too. Unfortunately his ass is going to be the recipient of a CIA style beat down in no time if he doesn't chill the trying to make the US look bad.

I like Chavez for doing this, sort of. That he said it has to be in the southern hemisphere is BS IMO. It should be in a developed nation fully capable of defending it, like somewhere in Europe or Japan.

However, I think Chavez is f'ing crazy. He said that he has proof the US is preparing to invade his country.

Well they did stage a coup against him. And since Venezuela has oil it's not that insane if you think about it.

I actually think the louder he gets in the UN, the safer he's going to be. if he mysteriously ends up dead sunday evening, well... there may be a fairly legit investigation into it, especially by various members of the UN. I'd guess that France and Russia would both be all over assistance in that sort of investigation.

Where could we move the UN HQ? I think a good place to move it to would be... Tokyo.

If the neo-cons stay in the office for another term, post-Bush, I'm sure this lad will be Guevera-ed. With the societal IQ of my nation so far down the crapper at the moment, I'd say Chavez had better start hiring photographers to take many dramatic, inspiring, and iconic pictures of himself. The US college students of 2010 will need SOMETHING to hang on their walls.

You want to move the UN to a place that's ripe for earthquakes every five years? I don't know how wise that is.
