Alright Europeople. Where's everyone ordering Final Fantasy XIII-2 from?

From GAME. I pre-ordered Crystal Edition when it was still available. £79.99. Plus GAME are giving away the pre-order bonus which comes with the costumes for Noel and Serah, The Steelbook and the Novella

Best price for a vita, memory card and game? Randomly I think I want it again...

Memory card is £45 for 16gb?! smh...

edit 2:

I'm about to bite for £195 for the vita on it's own... talk me out of it!!!!!

oops never mind, that's 203 with shipping, it breaks the over £200 mental barrier...

Ideally I'd be happy (but in gaga land to expect) £200 for vita, game and 4gb stick... That's when I'm going to bite. Got the 3DS launch £190 with pilot wings and was happy with that.

Oh wow, I want these bonuses! But I don't live in the UK and I think they don't ship the pre-order items to the rest of the EU... :s

Any alternatives?

Sorry, I'm a bit of a collector ;). It was around the 40 bucks threshhold that I'm prepared to pay for day-one if I really want a game (especially if an import), so I went with it, even as a "cheap arse gaffer".

Yep me too.

Wait....did you say Play Asia? Do they ship to the UK now? I usually order from Yes Asia because they don't.

Not too sure but I'll look around. I'm afraid to say though that to the best of my knowledge those Bonuses are exclusive to GAME. But as I say, I'll have a look around. Forgot to mention, that Pre-order bonus also comes with 3 Art Prints and the Omega Boss/Monster DLC as well.

They started shipping to Sony products to Europe a few months ago. As far as I know that was the only restriction they had previously (They didn't ship Sony stuff to Europe due to the whole issue with Sony shutting down Lik-sang a few years ago), so I don't see why they wouldn't ship that to the UK.

Yes, play-asia are (again?) shipping to EUrope. Although some friends in Germany are excluded from some products. I haven't faced a single limitation from the Netherlands though.

Play-asia have always shipped to the UK, however when Lik-Sang got sued into oblivion by Sony, Play-Asia stopped shipping PSP and subsequently, PS3 products, to the European Union. Pissed me off in a big way. But I don't really import anymore. Over the past year or so it's become far too expensive.

Thank you very much, I appreciate that. Man, exclusive to GAME? That sucks... they should at least ship them internationally...

Here's my review if it helps: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-vs-playstation-vita

If you want me to dissuade you then I could say the web browser isn't great, and uh... there's no AVI support in the video player.

I suppose common sense dictates that you should be buying the Vita with a specific game in mind too (add another £30 to that total) - otherwise, spending big just for the sake of owning the latest, shiniest gadget in town strikes me as a bit loopy :P

Well at the moment the only game that interest me a little is Uncharted, so yeah, to be honest it is just that i want to get it for the sake of getting it...

A month after ordering through Play.com, I still haven't got my Bulletstorm.
I asked for a refund, but they want me to fill a form and send it to them via REGULAR mail.
They argue it's a freepost, but as I live outside the UK, it's by no means free.
I don't know how much can the post office charge me to send the form, but it pisses me off.
Has anyone dealt with this situation?
I've asked them to provide an e-mail address, a fax number..., anything so I can send the the form for free, but they say they don't have an e-mail address, and have yet to answer about the fax.

I'm not buying again from Play.com, I really cannot understand how a company that prides in shipping worldwide for free won't have a way to ask for a refund that doesn't include sending a fucking physical copy of a form to them.

Years ago a DVD I ordered was lost. All I did was shoot them a mail and I did send out another one. No idea why you are having such a hard time.

It used to be like this, but I've read that they started requiring a signed form some time ago. :/

Game has a similar system in place.

I ordered Rayman Origins around the 18th of December and by the time new year came it still hadn't shown up. Called up Game and told them what had happened and suggested that it was probably lost in the mail. They told me I had to wait the full 15 days before making a claim - annoying but hey ho.

Waited the full 15 days called up again and was told that I had to fill out a form and either mail it back or scan it and email it to their lost packages address. I did the latter and got an email confirming my replacement copy of Rayman had been dispatched. Overall a fairly painless experience.

I'm thinking that alot of people must be illegally claiming lost packages when they really received them. I would hazard a guess that a lot of online retailers are probably putting in these hoops to try and reduce the volume of illegitimate claims, thinking that only those people who have something genuinely to claim for will go through with it in the end.

I do find it strange that Play wouldn't allow people to email the claim form in instead of waiting on snail mail to deliver it - especially when that could go missing.

Retailers are requiring lost parcel forms so they can claim compensation back from Royal Mail. The reason everyone needs them now is because Royal Mail changed their process.

Makes sense, but it's incredibly annoying that play.com are not allowing the form to be sent otherwise than by mail.
Know what, play.com? E-mail is faster, safer and fucking free.

I like how the email from The Hut advertising Nintendo Day has an up to 80% off sticker over the The Last Story image.

So which online retailer would you recommend? Shopto or Amazon.co.uk doesnt work for me :P And I want to switch to a "better" from the TheHut group? Any suggestions?

All retailers are fine. If you want cheap deals you should not limited yourself to one. There really is no reason to limit yourself to one - unless it is some religious thing

No, shopto doesnt offer returns for non-uk residents. I dont know if that is legal because here you can always return things within 14 days after the arrival.

If anyone wants a bargain I got two sealed copies of Bulletstorm on the 360 I'm offloading :)

Where are those £9.99 Rayman Origins?

You never mentioned about not being from the UK in your original post, but really, instead of totally dropping ShopTo, just make sure you don't buy things you don't want. If you want to return stuff due to broken items, then that is usually a postal problem, not a problem of the site.

There are no "better" retailers than other ones - they all have pros and cons. All of the main retailer have different deals at different times, and are all worth a go when different deals pop up. If you limit yourself to one, then you are just ending up buying more expensive games.

Game and TheHut group let you return games. It's a problem with the site, because there is no option to tell them about the problem if your region differes from the uk...
I bought 2 games at them and one of them was used/resealed. Never got a resealed game from TheHut/Zavvi.

Hm okay, thanks for your reply :)

Well, I bought Bulletstorm from Play.com but it never arrived, so how much do you ask? :)
I'm from Spain, BTW, don't know if it matters to you.
