I hope i'm not too off topic with this, but i just wanted to add something re: zavvi shipping times. I know an considerable amount of people have had bad experiences with them, as they seem to be a pain to deal with when something goes wrong with an order, but i've been ordering from them and the hut regularly for years now and i have yet to experience their infamously long shipping times. I'm living in south central Europe and the longest i had to wait was 2 weeks, which happened maybe 3 times altogether. Otherwise packages from thehut group pretty much always arrive at my doorstep in a week, sometimes even faster, the fastest being 3 days. I've just got Max Payne 3 today, after it was shipped on thursday afternoon. This was actually a pretty big relief, after the last Rockstar game i've bought (RDR) travelled a little over a month to me, and that was from a mainland UK store (it was either gameplay, or gamestation), where the shipping cost 3 times as much. I don't want to downplay the bad experiences people have had with their customer service, but it's really curious how their shipping times vary so wildly within Europe and i don't think it's entirely their fault.

Anybody who had a despatched notification still waiting on MGS:LE from Zavvi in UK?

There's bound to be a lot of them. I'm still waiting on it to arrive in Belgium as well.
But then again, I'm only expecting it to come by the end of the week at the earliest.
Next week to be sure.

I guess this is the best place for this: My Kid Icarus AR cards ordered from the stars catalogue arrived yesterday. Anyone else's turned up?

Nope. Mine even arrived today, was dispatched last tuesday. So shipping time was 7 days. And it came from Belgium as well (no customs fee, yay). Did you order the day I posted the deal or a day after, when it got sold out? And you are talking about PS3, right?

EDIT: and it was in perfect condition. Came in a huge box like the one shown a page earlier, no plastic bag.

got mine this morning and .. the box is a mess :((
it was packaged well, but looks like the guys at the warehouse used mine for football practice before sending it.
now trying to decide whether to return for a refund or keep it. fu zavvi.

Bought the same day yeah...guess there's still time...

Damn, I bought Deus Ex HR PS3 for 11.99 at amazon.co.uk two days ago and it is now 9.95. This has happened several times to me recently, I do not know where to put the threshold anymore. I used to consider under 20 was OK. Then I moved to under 15 except if it is Nintendo first party. Now I don't know anymore!

The threshold is - should always be - "the amount you are willing to pay". Waiting to pay the cheapest price possible is just going to leave you annoyed and frustrated. Pick a price that'll leave you satisfied and leave it at that.

Yes thank you :). My cat got his a few days ago too.

Good advice if I may say so. I've missed out on too many deals in the past just waiting it to go just that little bit lower :/.

Anyone with a 10% off thehut or Zavvi code?

I'm sorry if I'm begging, just about to pull the trigger on 4 games for £43 and just thought it'd be nicer if it was £39 :p

Are there any zavvi codes floating around? Or does anyone wanna give me a 10% code?

I want to preorder Tales of Graces F :>

Or would i be better off waiting? Tales games never really drop in price do they?

My MGS HD Limited Edition from zavvi.com arrived today in good condition. It was shipped on the 16th.

Surprsingly the parcel was sent from Madrid (I am in Barcelona). I imagine this thing went from a central hub (Belgium or UK) to Madrid and from there it was shipped to me via Zavvi.es.

Any decent deals on Mario Tennis? It's Nintendo so it'll probably never ever drop in price, but I was hoping to save a couple of pounds at launch.

Fun delivery stories: I ordered a US version of Layton from Axelmusic before Christmas, hoping to play it over Christmas. I'd ordered a few DVDs from there before, so I was happy with them in general. It didn't make it in time for Christmas - my fault, I ordered a bit late - so I went off and spent time with my family as normal.

And forgot about it.

In about February, I remembered it, realised that it hadn't arrived. Asked at the post room at work in case it'd been sitting there for months. but nope; it had never arrived. I reasoned that it'd been a very long time and gave it up as lost.

I've just had a package thrown onto my desk. It has *just* arrived.

(Fortunately I'd never actually ordered a new one, and I've had ample stuff to occupy my time in the meantime, but looks like I can pick this up maybe after Tales of the Abyss!)

There's a Zavvi warehouse in every town. They only ship to countries other than the one they're in, though.

I think you might be on to something there. ;)

My 360 Dark Souls just arrived after about 3 weeks and it has been shipped from Holland, yet the "return if not delivered" address is in the UK. Holland -> Belgium in 3 weeks...not bad. :P
Had stuff from them shipped from all over europe it seems. So weird.

Germany here, mine arrived yesterday from Belgium. Same nice big package as described in this thread.
The cool thing is, that this shipping method for more expensive EU orders didn't cost more. Nice move zavvi.

I'm wearing the T-shirt now at work :3
(I usually prefer S though, anyone thinks I can shrink it w/o damaging the print-on?)

I got an email last night saying that one of my Zavvi 2 for £25 games has been posted to me.

How's their delievery times once posted? (UK here, not international).

After their dispatched emails, I've got my games within 1 or 2 days, in the UK as well.

The delays for me have usually been the awaiting despatch status.

Wow, six months delivery time??

Yep. It hasn't actually inconvenienced me at all, so I don't particularly mind, but it is kinda ludicrous. I'm wondering if perhaps the shipment in question - Axelmusic handles importing themselves then ships from within Europe - got held up by customs for ages, that'd account for it.

Quickly OT - do you have a 3DS? Streetpass seemed to be dead in Barcelona when I went last year. I even carried the thing around Primavera for 3 days and got... NADDA.

Will take it again this year, but I probably won't lug it around the festival with me this time.

Yeah, I can't imagine it would be the company itself. I've ordered quite a lot of things from them, and usually the biggest wait is just from waiting for it to get dispatched. Once it's sent it usually arrives in a week or less.

I do have one, but I never take it out of home. I am not suprised anyway but what you say, the DS was big during some time here but the 3DS not so much. It's probably selling moderately well, but to the usual audience (kids and gaming/nintendo fans). On public transport people just use smartphones. Particularly on a music festival I doubt you get street-pass hits.

I will be there on friday next week btw. I am lazy to go to festivals nowadays but I didn't want to miss The Cure live!

its funny how anyone can think £55 for a 32GB Vita card is reasonable when you can get a 32GB Sandisk SD card for £15. That's one hell of a Sony tax :/

Probably the main reason which will stop me from buying a Vita for a couple of years :( Simply ridiculous.
