Cheap Arse Gaffer (Euro Gaming) Thread 2 - Add to your backlog with ease

Received FFXIII-2 yesterday, so at least I know that site is legit. They have some pretty good prices on stuff, too.

No idea when I'll get around to playing it though!

Okay - totally not sure if I dreamt this or not but I'll give it a shot...

I am pretty sure that someone mentioned on this thread or another similar about a payment method that gives you £5 off your first order - there were a couple of games companies used by euroGAF on the list of companies you could pay.

I found the app on the Android store, it appeared to be a little like a Paypal clone (at a brief glance), but I didn't chase it up any further. It also had a bizarre-ish name.

Needless to say I can't remember anything more about it - did I imagine this?

Could you possibly mean Quidco?

No it wasn't a referral system, it was more a payment system like Paypal or so it seemed. It listed all the merchants you could pay using their method at, iirc it included Amazon and someone else (I think wowhd but not 100%).

I think it's supposed to be some new fangled pay with your mobile linked to a credit card system and the £5 incentive is to get you using it. I dunno though....

Just quoting this in-case anyone has answers.

Morning folks! Tesco Entertainment currently have a couple of codes knocking about offering 15% off as long as you're spending at least £15. (FPY8NMQ9 or FTKB2QQG).

Couple of pre-orders can be brought down to decent-ish prices (ie. AC3: Join or Die edition for around £48 compared to around £56 elsewhere at the moment).

cjelly that doesn't help

Skipped high school economics? Haha.

Demand for the games isn't slowing down, but they aren't printing many (they aren't increasing supply), thus increasing the price.

Basically the games are popular, but the publishers haven't bothered to print enough copies to push the price down. AKA supply and demand.

Were the MGS HD Collection (PS3), Shadow/ICO collection and DMC collection all limited run or something? They're still £30ish on Amazon.

In contrast, the Tomb Raider HD collection is £10ish.

Why should they drop the price on those? I mean MGS HD Collection has huge-ass content and it actually means just 10pounds for MGS2:Substance, 10pounds for MGS3, 10pounds for MGS:PW and you even get Metal Gear 1+2 for "free". Which I would consider a fair price. Same is true for Jak & Daxter HD Collection. Same goes for Sly Cooper. Which all don't drop in price.

DMC just got released and it also features huge amounts of content.

Tomb Raider on the other hand not so much. Tomb Raider Underworld is shiat. Tomb Raider Legend is ultra short. And Tomb Raider Anniversary is the only one worth it. Also Tomb Raider HD collection was released 1 1/4 years ago.

So CoolShop are out of codes it seems (and the price is up). Are there any other places online to get a Diablo III code at a reasonable price (i.e. not £45).

A good priced boxed version from somewhere that'll deliver quickly would be alright too.

Edit: Oh wow, now discovering boxed copies are sold out everywhere. Was not aware of that.

I want to gift MOTHER 3 [GBA, JPN] to a friend of mine, what's my best bet to find a cheapish one?
I've bought mine at a Play Asia sale back in the day...
