Zavvi code can net you 3DS games for £~25 pre-order price, not too bad everywhere else has games for £30 still.

AssCreed 2 goty for £8.45 is the best price i've seen for it so far, same for lost planet 2 if you really want to torture yourself.

How low does it go for the 3DS? And what link is people using for the codes? The one from CAG doesn't work for me.

Codes don't seem to work with the 3DS
Anything over £100 is void on the code, reason for the delay using this offer was that the code was working on all items, zavvi had to cancel them all lol.

Except it's Zavvi... I'd almost rather pay double the price to avoid shopping there.

Indeed. I ordered a DVD more than a week ago. It still hasn't shipped but it's also impossible to cancel. Because Zavvi delivery times are ridiculous, I've got to wait 3-4 weeks before I can send the #$# back and then I've got to get my money and postage back from Zavvi which is not going to be easy at all. Their service desk is a joke, totally useless.

Avoid at all times.

I've had nothing but good service from Zavvi tbh... 2 parcels didn't arrive over Xmas (due to Royal Mail "modernisation" in our area), so after 10 working days I contacted Zavvi about it. Got a refund for one and requested they send a replacement of the other. No problem!

Everything else I've ordered has arrived quicker than items from Play, HMV and an independent eBay seller.

I had an order I canceled ~December 6th, before it was sent, but they still charged me even after I canceled. Still haven't gotten a refund despite contacting them numerous times. Once they even said that I hadn't been charged for the order and wouldn't be getting a refund (!!!). I called them on their bullshit but they still haven't given me my money back. Worst customer service I've experienced in my entire life. I never want to have anything to do with either Zavvi nor any site affiliated with them (=The Hut) again.

You can make a bullshit address up using a UK post code (SN1 2DS), then refer 10 people while logged in and claim the 3 discount codes before you don't need the account any more, refer emails can be bull also like asdfg@gmail.com

*edit* pre-orders seem to allow discounts too.
The email you use for signing up doesn't have to be a real one either as the code is presented on the site right as you claim it. As long as there's an @ and a . in the nonsense you input it'll be accepted.

Now for the repreordering of things.

Also it caps the discount at £15 if the order total exceeds £100 using valid items.

personally I've ordered 30+ games from Zavvi UK and all of them were delivered in 3-6 days to Spain in mint condition. It was my favorite site until Amazon UK offered their free super saver delivery to Spain some months ago.

This is their pricing from pre-announcement. It was purely a guess.
Nope, they announced on twitter today that they would take preorders at this price, but that the demand was much more important than the stock.

They must know you're Spanish royalty and want to make a good impression.

Shame GG couldn't give a fuck lol

Only time I had huge delays from zavvi was over that oct-nov period where everything went super slow, but even then latest I had to wait 6 days for some posters and a ds case to come from play.com, royal mail are slow as shit lately and they just don't care.

On that note 1st class stamps are more or less officially shit now, it's not garenteed next day delivery if posted before 3pm any more and hasn't been for a little while, so buy 2nd class!

To anyone from Europe that bought stuff from bee.com and was wondering about their service, apparently my LBP2 arrived today (dispatched Tuesday). Delivery time similar to other sites (except the slower Hut/Zavvi/Play) but free delivery to most European countries makes it a great option.

Now I wish I pre-ordered Killzone 3 when it was at £29.99. It was only £10 cheaper...

Good to know, thanks for the feedback !

edit : Is it me or have their prices gone waaaaay up ?

Yep. They went from the "too good to be true" £29.99 to the normal prices. It was probably a temporary campaign to get people to know the site and it worked.

That's what I thought too.
But that was short, not long enough to forge a good reputation against monsters such as amazon or the hut group.

HMV retail stores seem to be selling the street fighter controllers in a 2-for-£30, grabbed two xbox zangief pads myself, the same controller design is £32 on amazon right now. (but £15 or so for ps3's version)

They seem to have been selling them like that for a while now, I picked up Bison/Guile last year. HMV's prices seem to have gone crazy over the last few days. £19.99 for a Play & Charge kit, £22.99 for an Xbox official HDMI cable (I know they're official products but still).

lol tell me about it, my jaw dropped while I was looking at their selection for all the wrong reasons. Have to say the pad is great, works a treat in Scott Pilgrim.

3DS is £217.85 from Zavvi with a free leather case. Probably the best deal i've seen so far (as long as they don't cunt around and actually get it to you when it comes out). I tried going through Quidco as well for an extra 2% off, but i've no idea if they apply to pre-orders too.

Now does anyone have any idea what games are confirmed for launch day? Nintendo are being stupid with their PR again.

Finally received my Borderlands GOTY from Zavvi today. Only took them ~2 months, my order was placed 11/29...

Still almost half price compared to the cheapest store in Sweden.

HMV web site mentions up to £110 discount when you trade in an old DS when pre ordering a 3DS. Details are only available in store though so I've got no idea what the deal is. I'll be trading in my DSi and this seems like it could be a cracking deal.

I still havent received by Black Friday order from them. Their customer services isnt great either.

Did anyone's Little Big Planet 2 copy dispatch from bee.com?

I've had it ordered for 30 GBP but it hasn't been released. I then checked the website and the Status was "Declined".

I've ordered 30 games last year by copy pasting the same information into the different shops, so I'm thinking they just didn't want to honor that price.

THe £110 will be for DSi XL, it'll be about 85 - 90 for a DSi i imagine.

So if I traded in my DSi (plus £40's worth of DSi Ware) I'd still be looking to pay around ~£145. :(

It's still better than GAME, but all this talk about HMV downsizing / closing down would make be hesitant about dealing with them on a credit basis.

If everybody clicks the thing on the Amazon page informing them of a cheaper price for the 3Ds, they might drop their as well. Just a thought...

I just did this, here's hoping.
