Did anyone's Little Big Planet 2 copy dispatch from bee.com?

I've had it ordered for 30 GBP but it hasn't been released. I then checked the website and the Status was "Declined".

I've ordered 30 games last year by copy pasting the same information into the different shops, so I'm thinking they just didn't want to honor that price.

I already received my game from them so clearly they didn't had any problem honoring the 29.99 price.

It's probably a good idea to contact them to try to solve the problem.

So if I traded in my DSi (plus £40's worth of DSi Ware) I'd still be looking to pay around ~£145. :(

It's still better than GAME, but all this talk about HMV downsizing / closing down would make be hesitant about dealing with them on a credit basis.

Surely they would only want the DSi on the release day, so unless they want a deposit it should be ok.

But if he trades it in when he gets the 3DS, he'll likely lose the DSiWare stuff. I don't have anything I'd even bother re-downloading if it transferred, but for £40 worth of stuff...

Yeah, that should be fine if you can do it day and date. I was confusing it with the GAME part exchange programme which says that their current offer (DSi worth £75 for trade in) is only valid until 11/03 (?!?), which is way before the actual release date so I guess they'd issue some kind of voucher towards the 3DS purchase. Kinda sucky of them.

Pretty sneaky that Nintendo's only letting you transfer stuff some unspecified time after the 3DS's release. They probably don't want excess DSis clogging up the market.

Maybe the DSiWare transfer is like the Wi-Fi Connection transfer where you need both DS's and link them together to do the transfer. When I traded in my DS for a DS Lite I asked the guy at the store if I could do the transfer quickly at the till before trading it in and he let me.
If the transfer is like that when you might be able to transfer across your DSiWare then trade it in.

I know you guys get this periodically, but where's the best place to buy a 12 month gold subscription. I used an online site, paid through paypal, and the code was mailed to me, those sites still in existence?

Gracias

amazon.co.uk have 12 months for £30 right now but you will have to wait for the pack to be posted to you, best price I can find.

My copy was sent to Sweden the 19th and arrived the 21st. I was impressed.

Can I register it with steam or do I have to use one of their clients?

I'm not familiar with the company at all.
When it's specifically noted that Steam is required you'll get a code sent to your email which you redeem on Steam.

Otherwise you'll have to download it through their client. The interesting thing about Green Man Gaming is that you can trade (most) licenses back in for credit.

Does anyone have one of those 15% off Zavvi discount codes lying around?
Check your PMs.

I know some people hate them right now but The Hut/Zavvi have Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PS360) for £25/30€

Zavvi: PS3 360 (+these sweet 15% off codes)
The Hut: PS3 360 (+ 50FF50 code to get £5 off any £50+ order)

Also, Deathsmiles ends up pretty cheap on zavvi with the -15% codes.

Zavvi have a Paypal option now. Not a deal, but it may help someone to know they don't have to use just a credit card.

Hey, that's great !
Concerning Demon's Souls, I was expecting 12.95 £ :( I won't buy it at a more expensive price.

You are thirty years old and don't have a credit card?
It's not all too common to have one in Germany (or Europe?). I know many people who only got one for non-domestic online shops. Most financial transactions are direct bank transfers. If you pay with 'plastic', you mostly use your EC card, which is an ATM card, but can also be used in shops.

Paying for stuff with money you don't have is frowned upon, in my experience.

What country do you live in? I don't know anyone above 14 who doesn't either have a VISA or VISA Electron card.

I still got one for online shopping and for travel. I don't even have to pay any fees as a student.

Still? I don't follow, I'm afraid.

Travel is a good point, actually. If you're abroad a lot, having a credit card is useful, of course. Or pretty much required if you want to rent a car.

Still also means "trotzdem" dude.

I'm 26, I live in Sweden and I don't know anyone who owns a credit card. Everyone single person I know owns a debit card though, usually VISA or Mastercard and that works exactly the same online, for example at Zavvi.

Of course i own a credit card. But i prefer to use PayPal and not give out my CC details to every little shop on the internet.

And the rest of the guys already explained that CCs in Germany are not that common/liked anyway.

I know, I just don't see what I said that made you follow up starting with that. We can go on about this in a PM, if you like. :lolsmilyimissyou

You said "It's not all too common to have one in Germany (or Europe?)."
He said "I still got one."

Doesn't take a PhD to understand what he meant.

Again, I get that.

No, but I included one of the reasons for why he might have one, so the 'still' threw me off.

In more detail:
"It's not all too common to have one in Germany (or Europe?)." (But it happens and here's an example.)

"I still got one." (...What I said?)

Where are the cheap PSP prices? I am still thinking about getting one for 99€. The Go had this price in Austria last month but so far I have seen nothing else. :(

Man, for that price I would have snatched up that PSP Go. Especially considering that you get 10 free games still (until 31st Jan).

It was just a in store though, so it din't help me. If only I had some friends in Austria...Oh well now it's over anyway.

Wait for the 10 free games promotion to end, it's bound to go down in price after that.

Was £29.99 @ Bee a week or so back, but has gone up now. Right before release is the worst time to go look for a deal

Yeh i know, was hoping maybe there'd be some hope.

Curse of funnelling the majority of my disposable income into a new car fund :p

[edi]woop didn't catch your edit. Any personal experience with that site? Safe to use, decent delivery etc? Thanks for the information :)

Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (PS3/360) + Free T-Shirt - £28.77 @ Zavvi (use BRITVIC 15% OFF CODE)

I ordered from them before, and got the game within a week (UK to Ireland). That was just a regular order though, not a preorder, so I am not too sure how good they are getting a game out on release day

I think you guys are giving zavvi too hard a time, really. They dispatched my DS2 preorder today, 4 days before the release. They've never done something like that to the best of my knowledge. Now, granted, it could still take 3-4 weeks until it arrives but even so.

maybe its because im used to the level of service amazon offer but my experience with zavvi sucked balls.

In my experience, they've always done that. They said my copy of Lost Planet 2 had been posted the Monday before it came out and it never turned up in the end.

My last experience with Zavvi was pre-ordering my Halo Reach Limited Edition. It arrived the Saturday BEFORE release.

So mileage may vary really. I've found them to be pretty reliable personally.

zavvi saying something is dispatched and it actually being dispatched are two different things.

For pre-orders, they ship when they got stock in. I've gotten games from them before official launch date because of that.
