Still working for me... SAVE2 can be applied atop too

Hmmm... I tried RE5 (PS3) and Golden Sun around noon (GMT+1) and would've been charged 42 GBP. Let's try it again.

Edit: it works fine now. Even SAVE2 indeed. Thanks Keyser.

A question here guys. I ordered Killzone 3 from Bee.com a couple of months back when they had it for £29.99.

A couple of weeks ago, they charged me for the game, but yesterday I got a refund from them. However, my order in their web page seems to be OK.

Anyone had this happened to them?

Thanks in advance.

Fuck, that LOTR sale got eaten up quick. :(

Golden Sun and PURE for £23... I'd bite, but I know I'll never get round to playing them.

I already have that LotR box set, paid £20 for it just after christmas lol ;(

In other news, Duke Nukem BALLS OF STEEL edition is £60 at zavvi, but also get another £5 off using FIVEOFFZAVVI.

I am tempted, I like duke but I can easily wait another 6 months before buying it, but the balls of steel edition for £55? so tempting.

*edit* lol sorry did not see the post above mine an hour ago, my bad!

2 for 25 is really good at thehut too, a bit too good for golden sun but fuck it I will buy it :P

I thought you were from Italy.
Why have you imported ?
I am, but I've been living in London (for 6 years) until recently and I've always preferred to play games in english.
Even with eastern-made games, and even when the localization is made by good teams like NOE/Italy, the translation is usually too damn sugary/kiddy (curse you Zelda TWW!) and the jokes aren't that much fun... trust me. Obviously, NOW I know I should've just bought the game from a shop close to my workplace. >_<

Dude...why didn't you tell me? I'd get you a copy without a problem:S

I know Yaz, but iiirc it was something like 60€ shipped versus €34 shipped, I didn't want to blow that much cash on the game, at that point I would've bought the Italian loc for €33.
:/

Any chance Amazon.co.uk will price match those offers? I'm still lurking around for a cheap Dead Space 2 + Extraction. (I'm not living in the UK)

Amazon just dropped Dead Space 2 to £30. Was £37 yesterday. I guess that is their reaction

I think tesco raised some of their game prices before that 20% deal started, rather lame that they did that :/

Argos are selling Dead Space 2 for £23.99, just reserved the last in my area for pick up later ;D

Oooh that's quite tempting...any chance Thehut will lower it to 30GBP too? ;) I have a 5 off 30£ voucher there, so that would be marvelous. A shame that Amazon wants 5£ for video game delivery to Switzerland.

Yep also somebody on HUKD confirmed the PS3 version had extraction with their copy, thats if your going for ps3 one.

That's a great deal if you can snag the Limited Edition, although there's no guarantee since Extraction isn't advertised. It's within their rights to send you a standard copy.

For those who don't want to take that risk, Amazon have the Limited Edition for a nice, round £30.

Edit: And gosh-darn at that 3DS Tesco cut. If only it wasn't blue!

Looks like the fierce price-matching on 3DS could force the average price below £170, so it might be worth waiting around.

Do Tesco take the money from your account straight away? I'm at the confirmation stage and it's not clear if they do or not.

They definitely do, the only reason I'm not jumping on that deal. Because I can't. :(

Nintendo 3DS Blue £157 @ Tesco
Would go for it, but being at work I haven't got access to my online shopping credit card. :(
I assume Tesco Direct and Tesco Entertainment are separate.

EDIT: Oh a mistake. Well guess I'll stick to the Entertainment offer.

I wonder if Tesco will honour it.

I've already received a Proof of Purchase email and they've apparently taken money from my CC (as is the Tesco policy on preorders). They have the right to cancel the deal outright, but it might be hassle for them given how far along the order has been processed.

Either way, the deal is still running. £157.

Edit: My status has gone from "Awaiting payment confirmation" to "At warehouse - dispatching soon." I've heard Tesco are notorious for cancelling, so I'm not getting my hopes up any more. If it arrives, then that's a bonus.

Are there standard copies though? I thought I heard that the entire first print run of PS3 versions was limited editions. Thing is if you're doing it instore you can easily look at the copy before buying it.

Quite true. I'm assuming there are standard editions, based on Amazon's seperate listing. Somehow they're more rare and expensive than the Limited Edition, much like with Medal of Honor.

Tescos are calling and cancelling all 3DS orders at £157 :(

cheeky fuckers. It wasn't an accidental '99p' pricing, it was clearly part of their larger VAT free promo. In situations like that they shouldn't be allowed to cancel - especially when they have taken your money

I can confirm that the Tesco deal for Dead Space 2/Blops is not the same instore.

I even asked if they'd price match to their website, they said no.

Still, good bargains - Blops for £25 is probably about the price you'd get a trade in for. I already have the PS3 version which I'm going to get rid of. Shite.

Tesco just called me to cancel the 3DS order. After that, I received an email confirming that my money is being refunded.

Oh well. No harm in trying.

doesn't this example - http://www.ed-u.com/kodak.htm

suggest that they can't do that?

Kodak's defence of mistake failed because the average, reasonable consumer may not have realised that a digital camera for £100, with 'special offer' displayed on it during a month famous for retail sales is a mistake!

this fits perfectly, as the 3DS was in a promo section, only had 20% off, and other higher priced items like PS3s also had 20% off. So completely reasonable for consumers to expect the price to not be a mistake.

They probably have something in their Terms and Conditions along the lines of: if a customer adds something to his basket, it is as if he does a price proposal to us. We, as retailer, can refuse to accept that offer. The Hut group for example have such a statement somewhere in their ToS, allowing them to cancel mispriced orders.

I checked out tesco earlier while I went to collect my argod £24 dead space 2, tesco had all the 20% vat signs up but most of the prices were yet to be changed, guy working there said if it doesn't come up at the till they will honour it.

They had a kinect for £99, suppose I could have argued and got it for £79 but I don't really want one yet, everything else was not really any different or cheaper on the website.
