Just been alerted by gamestracker to some rather good prices at GAME/GameStation...

Zelda Skyward Sword £24.99

Xenoblade Chronicles £19.99

Star Fox 64 3D £19.99

Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D £19.99
http://www.game.co.uk/en/the-legend-of-zelda-the-ocarina-of-time-3d-122840

These are not yet posted on hotukdeals, and Zelda SS and Xenoblade probably wont be around for too long at those prices (although maybe Amazon will price match before they go out of stock?) so I would get in quick if interested.

Star Fox and Xenoblade bought. Thanks man.

Not a game specific, but can someone point me to a deal of a quality headphones?
Really depends on your budget, this thread has a wealth of information and helpful posters who can help you find a pair perfect for your requirements.

Personally I now have the Sennheiser PC360 headset after considering getting dedicated headphones (Sennheiser 558, 598) for a while.

Well, that was pretty quick. I ordered Rayman Origins from Gamestation at 12.50pm today, I'd got a 'shipped' email by 4pm.

Arrrrgh, just bought Xenoblade for 27.99 but cashed in £10 worth of points to get it to 17.99. 2 days later this happens, Damn you to hell Game!

I just got a mail from The Hut saying that "due to extremely high demand, we cannot guarantee that this item will reach you before Christmas."

Disappointed as I won't get to play it, but not particularly angry or anything, especially as they were apologetic and have given me a 10% off code as compensation, however my paranoia has made me worry that they actually don't have any stock and are hoping for someone to return a copy to send on to me.

Has anyone else got a similar email?

The reason why German GAF frequently visits this thread:

(though the labeling for the PS3 is switched by mistake it seems)

(well ok, the actual reason are the £10-20 prices sooner or later after release, which you just can't compare to any deals in Germany)

So, guys, remember that £11.95 Deus Ex: Human Revolution for PC from a couple of months back? The one I ordered, and then got, and then found out that the Steam code in it was a dupe? Which I then sent back, waited for the replacement copy to be delivered, waited some more, and then, a whole month later, complained so much about that they sent out another replacement...which still hasn't arrived? And then they sent me a reclamation form, within which I asked for another replacement to be sent, hopefully before Xmas?

Yeah, that one.

An hour ago, they gave me my money back, in full.

Guess they were finally tired of fucking me around.

Never again, GAF. I've learned my lesson - just wait for Amazon to pricematch. Never. Again.

Oh, and my WWE BrawlFiteStick arrived, but it was at 8:25AM and I was dead to the world, so the postman took it back to my local depot, and now I can't get it until tomorrow. JUST LEAVE IT WITH THE LADS DOWNSTAIRS JEEZUS KRIYST

If any of those replacement copies ever come home. I'm not returning them. Too bad, Zavvi

Can anyone link me to that Old Republic deal that was floating around a few days ago? I looked back over the last few pages and did a search but couldn't find anything.

My Amazon order got fudged up and they said they don't have stock to send me another copy, so I got a refund. Now need to order a new copy quickly.

Because they want you to buy from Amazon.de

But I am not going to anyway, because their prices are shit. I'd rather wait the long ass Zavvi delivery time than pay 2 times, sometime 3 times more.

The price even with shipping would still be better than the one Amazon.de has with almost 50€. But I am cheap and want to save as much as possible. ;)

While almost everyone else wants Amazon to pricematch Zavvi and the Hut, Germany wants it the other way around!

Do the excessive shipping charges apply to other countries with local Amazon sites (e.g. France and Italy) or just Germany?

Pretty sure it's for everyone with their own Amazon store. That's why Zavvi, Hut and even ShopTo are better alternatives. I will take the longer waiting time if I can save almost £6.

I totally understand waiting, that's the very reason I'm not buying these games at release. Real shame that the presence Amazon DE causes inflated prices in importing from Amazon UK.

£12+£6 is still only a third of the €55-€65 euro releases tend to stay at in mainland Europe (at least Holland). Just buy more to make the relative shipping charges less. Or is it £6 per item? We do have free shipping to NL now, but even when they were still charging for shipping i could order from Amazon UK and sell it secondhand with a good profit after i was done playing it.

Anyone know if there any cheap copies of the Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection knocking about? Amazon has it at £27.50 which is too rich for my blood.

I think its £14.99 in blockbuster preowned instore but iam not 100% sure if thats still the case.

Just got Mario & Sonic 2012 for £25 in-store at Tesco. Can't argue for that price, and it'll be something to play with the kids on Christmas Day.

Just had an e-mail from Zavvi saying I probably won't get Dark Souls before Christmas. On the bright side, they're giving me 10% off my next order. I'm eyeing up a 3DS bundle.

Shit. I'm gonna buy Ocarina 3D and Starfox 3D although I don't plan on getting a 3DS until the revision.

Don't laugh at me.
If you reigster both you might be able to enter the competition to win the special 3DS (choose which one you want carefully, I can see Mario and Peach as being a pinch more likely to win but Toad is the only one that does not look awful) and a free copy of 3D Classics Kid Icarus which makes it a rather expensive gamble.

My local is selling off PSN cards due to everything going digital £35 credit for just £25 I'm going to pick up four for myself for once the vita out in the uk if anybody else after I can pick them up and email code over just drop me a pm.always good to have people knowing what's going down also if you can find them game and game station psp 3000 £39.99.

I knew this and seeing this is still kinda sickening. Prices and deals are are such garbage...

You mean why mainland Europe buys their games in the UK.
Besides not being able to play your games on day one, there is no logical reason not to buy your games in the UK. It is almost ridiculous how cheap games can be there.

For example I bought Portal 2 for PS3 for 32 Pounds or 37 euro's with the PC version at launch. While it was 60 euro at the shops here.

Gaming in the UK is so much cheaper than it used to be. It used to be a miracle when a decent N64 game would drop below £30. Games like Perfect Dark and Majora's mask cost me £50 each only a decade ago. Now all we have to do is wait a week after launch for stuff to hit £18.
