It never did that to me...well in the old days when they sent a voucher via the post after you spent so much I think those vouchers had a similar expiry date.

Life got too short to worry about such things. If you can't make it pay back, don't buy it. Heck when it was offered to me for free in Gamestation just over 2 weeks ago I reufsed. Sure I'd gotten at least £1 (so could have gotten Red Steel for free) but my time wasted on filling the form in is worth more than that.

As far as I know the european stock for this game isn't that high. And it was the best selling game in Ireland the first week it came out£28 or €35 is the best the standard edition is.

Another few weeks and it will go down hopefully.
