Okay so.. That arcade stick I ordered that was faulty?

It was collected for return by Yodel (I know) on friday and was ostensibly 'delivered' to The Hut yesterday. I contacted The Hut to see if they had received it and to inquire about a refund and... They haven't received it yet. I've contacted Yodel regarding the delivery as I've heard all kinds of things about packages in cars, etc. I don't trust either company with the item or the money.

I get the feeling I'm going to be £100 out of pocket for a long time.

Yodel are an awful, awful company. How they continue to get so much business baffles me, their rates for businesses must be really cheap or something.

Can't say I've had a bad experience with Yodel, but I had my Vita delivered from TheHut via Yodel, I waited all day for it and just as I walk out the door at like 6.00pm a guy in an unmarked car pulls up and delivers it, which was lucky for me I guess but hardly the greatest on timing.

Yodel? Oh god, run. Seriously.

I had fun last year when ordering a new phone. Essentially the online tracking said it had been delivered and signed for when it hadn't actually arrived and their customer service reps opinion was 'our driver says it was delivered, so that's the case closed'. Funnily enough, a call to the local police station to report the theft resulted in the phone arriving later that night...

Fun fact about Yodel is that they changed their name to leave the old feedback under their older names behind, their management are tossers and they always say yes to doing orders for companies even though they are already exhausting their drivers with overtime.

My father loses his job next month with them and he is kind of glad, they used to be good 10 years ago under business express but then went downhill, the reason he is losing his job is because they want to only have self employed drivers which means yodel don't have to do so much paperwork on their end and cover costs and taxes and shit.

terrible company.

I'm amazed company's still use Yodel. Just the other week something of mine was being delivered by them and I wasn't in at the time. Tracking said that it was left at an house number that doesn't exist on my road, and a card I got said that it was taken back to the depot. Phoned up the company, and she also insisted that it was left at the non-existent house number. After a couple of phone calls I eventually found out it was indeed taken back to the depot, and it was redelivered.

They're apparently really, really cheap, so it's worth it for the companies to use them even taking into account the higher amount of complaints and lost items. My personal experiences with them include a PS3 from Amazon which was left in my front garden and had been stolen by the time I got home. Although credit has to go to Amazon, who dispatched another one immediately via DHL.

With have a delivery company like that in Germany, too. Everytime I see that Amazon is sending my order with Hermes I fear for my stuff.

Holy crap, dont get me started on Hermes. The Arcadia group (Topshop, BHS ect) use these useless fucks and they have not only lost my packages numerous times, but have delivered stuff so late (and in such bad condition) that it wasnt even on the system when I tried to return it in a shop.

They were so adamant my address was incorrect, even after I sent them a link to google maps, that I had to call and wait outside so the driver would spot me.

Now I check the courier every time I buy from an unknown shop online because if they use Hermes, they arent getting my money until I go into a brick and mortar shop.

From my limited experience with them, Hermes are a plague. There better be someone home 24/7 when you have large items delivered, because they will phone ahead about five minutes before they arrive. Miss that call and they keep driving. Add another week of delivery time.

I had a really great Hermes experience. Person left a note with their mobile, and I called it, and they arranged a redelivery the next day at a time that - seriously - suited me, not them. Madness. But they're individual, self-employed drivers. If they're nice people and their job is easy, I'd guess they're more likely to be amenable.

(Preorder) £20 PSN Card [UEFA Branded] - £15.95 @ Zavvi / The Hut
(Preorder) £60 PSN Cards (£20 x 3) [UEFA Branded] - £43.86 @ Zavvi (use code APRIL40)

So...did anyone else buy one of these? Turns out they were £16 cards, not £20. Thing is I can't find any proof that they were ever listed at £20 at Zavvi (the fact they don't even mention the value in the current listing is damn cheeky) even though I'm 99.9% sure they were. The listing has changed and my email makes no mention of price...

EDIT: Ooh! Just noticed your link has '20' in the URL...which now redirects to a page WITHOUT any mention of '20'! Cheeky SOBs. I'm going to kick up a fuss about this one, even if it doesn't get me anywhere.

Same but I stupidly only realised after I had added them to my account that I'd ordered £20 ones rather than £16 ones. I still saved a few quid but I'm pretty pissed off.

yes, just got my £16 card in the post today and spent ages looking through my email & website for proof of the £20 listing, thought i'd imagined it all

Very poor move from Zavvi. Definitely complain about that.

Ouch, that sucks. To be honest I didn't even know £16 cards existed, so I can see how you made that mistake. But Zavvi are the ones at fault here and in my eyes this is clear case of mis-selling, so I'll let you know if I get anywhere if you wanted to go down that road.

Whatever happens, Zavvi are on my :( list.

Anyway, back to offers - apparently the Sly Trilogy is back down to £9.99 on PSN this month..

...which I could have bought with my £20 PSN credit. Dammit.

Yeah, same happened here. Slightly annoyed, but not sure if I'm annoyed enough to bother going through their crap customer service. Especially when I doubt it will get me anywhere.

So I ordered the MGS HD collection LE (PS3) awhile ago at Zavvi.

Some of you might be interested to see in what condition it arrived. It was packed in a (larger than I expected) cardboard box with bubble wraps wrapped around it.

Some folding here and there, but overall it seems to have survived the trip well.

Order date: April 23th
(I ordered Star Ocean and Disgaea 4 (PS3) on the same date, Star Ocean was delivered yesterday, Disgaea has yet to turn up.)

I'm in Belgium btw

So pretty. *_*

That's a nice condition, glad to see that some people manage to get this relatively in tact.

My Disgaea 4 is still missing as well. Zavvi says they shipped it on the 7th of April. *grumble grumble*

A lot of Zavvi orders seem to be missing/delayed. My Fast&Furious box was sent 11th of April and I've yet to see it. I'm pretty sure I've never waited more than a week (well 10 days maybe) for Zavvi orders to arrive so there's definitely something weird going on.
