They must be be some fancy stickers!

The stylus is actually catered for playing a rythm game over a long period of time, which is a godsend considering how the stylus kept slipping in my hand at the most inopportune times when doing Jumping Jack Flash on Elite Beat Agents on the hardest and second hardest difficulties.

Oh the memories...

Pretty good price. Is the site trustworthy? Might end up buying Theatrhythm sooner than I intended. HA HA.

You'd be pleased (or will you?) to know that they're fine. I've used them in the past and experienced no problems.

What an appalling site design though. I can see why you'd be sceptical!

I'm sceptical from ordering items from the UK to Sweden. When paying with pound/euro, won't I have to pay currency taxes?

In short: yes.

Some shops allow you to pay in euros, so for people in the Euro countries you can sometimes avoid this, but a Swede is always somewhat screwed, I guess.

Since you´re always charged in either pounds or euros, your bank will always "charge" you a little extra by using fictitious exchange rates. I think in most cases that will cost you a few euros extra. So something like 10-20 SEK probably.

Zavvi Mega Monday:

Asura's Wrath x360 is €26.35
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron x360 is €13.15
Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning x360 is €19.75
Dark Souls x360 is €19.79
Army Corps of Hell PSVita is €13.15

How's Asura's? I usually wait to drop more but I'm afraid it will go out of stock.
Neverdead also seems to be going in the same direction...

To bite or not to bite? That's the question.
Asura's is cheaper at Simply Games.
El Shaddai cheaper at Tesco(PS3) Amazon(360)
Amalur same price as Amazon
Dark Souls cheaper at The Hut

Simply Games has 2.50£ per shipping (and less nations avalaible for shipping)
El Shaddai total payment is €13,41
Amalur total payment is €28,28
The hut has it for €19.75 (if it still has free worldwide shipping it's better then)

Check your facts!
:P

Asura's Wrath is a tough one to rate, it can get repetitive and the gamepaly itself is either lacking at times or just not there at all yet there is certainly something enjoyable about it, it's certainly an over the top spectacle worth experiencing if you like that sort of thing.
BUT Capcom pulled one of their dlc tricks with this game, want the final section of the game? then get ready to cough up extra for some dlc!
I did enjoy it though.

Hmm, that's not too bad. Considering that a new game costs roughly 87 US dollars, 55 pound or 69 Euros in Sweden, I guess paying that little extra won't be too bad. But is there any website where I can check the exact number? I'm afraid that I'll get a big bill should I order something. The prices sound good, but when you start adding shipping and taxes and you're not quite sure just how much it'll cost in the end, it sort of puts me off. And it is of course a shame to hurt my own country's economy by buying items from other countries.

Most sites have free shipping, and just use xe.com or something if you want to check the exchange rate, then add 20 sek on top of that... it's no different than buying from Sweden, you won't get any bills or additional charges or anything like that. you'll pay about half or less what you pay in Sweden for most games. Can't help you with hurting Sweden's economy though, personally I don't really give a shit :) I just take the cheapest option. The wonders of globalization!

I did enjoy it though.

I loved it, and I feel it's unique enough that it warrants a playthrough. The demo does it a complete disservice too, and that's coming from someone who neglected to buy it until fairly recently.

The ending feels like a conclusion, without the DLC. The extra episode is absolutely crazy though, and worth the price in my opinion. If you can pull up any details regarding it being purposely held back, then fair enough, but I was perfectly satisfied with the base game regardless. It was a substantial download by itself (coming in at a couple of gigs) so it was hardly locked away on the disc (although that itself strikes me as a weird stance to take).

It was people posting stuff along those lines that pushed me away from buying the game near its release, but after having finally played it all, it does come across as overblown.

It just seems like a questionable thing in general, I don't know whether it was disc locked or not but the gap between the games release and the DLC is very small, like a month I think? Really the standard ending isn't entirely conclusive,
especially when you throw the true chapter 18 on top of that which leaves you with a big cliffhanger
, the dlc is part 4 of the story and feels just as substantial and as important as the other 3 parts so really it should've been there from the start is what i'm saying.
I just figured it was worth mentioning.

Hmm, well, I only want to buy form trustworthy websites -- like Amazon. But they don't have free shipping. But anyway, nevermind the shipping, are you sure that it's just 20 SEK in taxes? Because that's really little. Is it 20 SEK per item or order? And wouldn't it depend on how much you spend? Wouldn't you pay more taxes if you purchase for 1000 SEK vs 100 SEK? Speaking of checking exchange rates, I think Google is the best place for that personally.

But yeah, if it really is just 20 SEK in taxes then it sounds really good.

You are being far too paranoid, but I do understand your concerns. I was thinking the same way a couple of years ago.

So the answer to your question is, No, you don´t have to worry. If you are paying with Visa for example, the conversion rate is only 1.5%.

And in general, the prices are way better compared to Sweden.

99% of the time your banks conversion rate + foreign currency transaction fee will be a better deal than the conversion rate of the store. From my experience you should always choose to purchase in the local currency of the shop.

Shops like Play.com add hidden shipping costs to their conversion to euro, so in that case I guess your 99% is legit.

But I've had times when paying in euros (for example on The Hut group sites) was actually cheaper (based on that day's exchange rate on xe.com) than paying in pounds. You'd expect that they have some automated software for that. Maybe they do now, but it wasn't always the case.

Also do you ever pay with credit card? And if so, do you actually check every time which exchange rate your bank utilised when they eventually charge your account, and compare that to the shop's proposed exchange rate at the time of your order? And what do you do with preorders months in advance. There's no way to know what will be the better deal...

Hehe do not worry. First of all, you are buying from another EU country (even if Jersey, etc. have different regulations) so taxes and customs wont be a problem. Second, all sites linked here (or the ten or so I have used) are reliable. I live in Sweden as well.

Amazon has free shipping over £25. Look, when you check out, you will see the total amount you're going to pay. This total amount on Amazon is a bit more than what it said on the game's store page, because they adjust the sales tax up from ~18% to sweden's 25%. But you don't care about that. What you care about is the total amount on the checkout page. There are NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES on top of that, except perhaps, like others have said, 1,5% from visa for currency exchange. I've been buying almost all my stuff from overseas for 12 years. It's the same as buying from sweden, only much cheaper. There's no need to worry about anything.
Just don't order from Zavvi or thehut.

Just don't order from Zavvi or thehut.

And even so... there's plenty of people who have never experienced any problems using those two. I've ordered 41 games at The Hut and 10 at Zavvi so far and all of those have arrived in a timely manner and in good condition in my mail box (I'm in Belgium btw).

Unfortunately there have been problems with these sites for some people. So if you're hesitant to order abroad to begin with, you might want to start at Amazon UK.

I always pay with cc and the conversion rate is not a secret, you can check it on the cc companys website. If you say there have been cases where the shops conversion rate was better I can only believe you though it would really surprise me. Preorders are off course something different as it's pretty much a gamble on the future development of the conversion rate.

Aren't they free for Sweden if you spend more than 25 pounds?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

Sounds great then. I guess I'll check Amazon out next time I buy games.

And obviously the prices would be better, UK don't have the same taxing system as Sweden :) Sweden has high taxes, but in return all schools serve free food, students get paid for going to school, dental care is free up to the age of 19, free medical care and whatnot. The government has stolen about 2,000 SEK from me though, so I don't mind slipping the taxes a little by buying from another country. I've purchased from other countries online before, but that was only Ubishop. I love Ubishop because it's the only non-Swedish store where you can buy with SEK. But I've been assured that it's no problem to buy from Amazon and the like now.

From my experience you should always choose to purchase in the local currency of the shop.

I visited Play.com about a year ago, and though I never bought anything, I recall that you could not pay with pound if you lived outside of UK. Maybe they've changed that by now.

Second, all sites linked here (or the ten or so I have used) are reliable. I live in Sweden as well.

Okay, thanks!

For those of you who are still looking for a physical copy of Tales of Vesperia, ShopTo has gotten a few copies it seems! They cost £26.86.
But I'm my opinion well worth the price. Can't post a link since it still banned, but ShopTo is just about the only website I order from these days. Excellent service.

Is anyone able to do me a favour and find the best prices for Dragons Dogma (360)?
I cant use the word game in any searches at work (yet this site still works, god knows how) so I cant look myself :(

Any website to buy the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter for PC at a good price that delivers worldwide ? I'm hoping to buy one for less than 30 € shipping included.
