Amazon still haven't even bloody dispatched my copy of DS3 yet.
Tempted to go for the digital copy and sell the one from Amazon as brand new but a) it was paid with a gift card and b) I got it for promotion when it was £32.

I'm sure they'll send it first class later today so I'm probably worrying over nothing
 
Not really a bargain but the first print of Starfox Zero is up again on Amazon.it for 60€ + shipping for people looking to get that edition.

You can't though. They only have an obligation to get you the game on release day, when you purchase it or pre-purchase it you do it with the expectation that the company will fulfill their responsibility to you and get it to you on the day it comes out.

Well if that guy got his somewhere between 6 and 8pm based on timings, they're still going. Hopefully still on the list somewhere :)

Shame about the dude who got a dupe, but that's an issue with doing it manually. Hopefully it gets sorted, because it sounds like if they waited to get the physical stock, they wouldn't even be posted until tomorrow so they're trying to make good on a bad situation.
 
Yeah, TGC are easily my first go to's now. Pretty sure most other companies would have called it a night and just sent you a key on release day. I mean, you still get your game on the day, right? Hope whoever's emailing is getting paid overtime though!

Yeah they've been really fantastic in my experience. Can't fault them.
 
Has anyone got the DS3 Hardback Guide from Amazon UK? Preordered it a few weeks ago. Shipping now showing 2-5 weeks despite being released today.

Amazon have been disappointing lately - I got a cheap deal on Prime but seem to be finding that more and more stuff I order is "expedited delivery" these days, even stuff I've ordered before that used to be next day delivery, which defeats the object of having Prime in the first place.

On your order status as well as the product page? I get the feeling this happened with the DS2 guide too unless I'm misremembering.

This is expedited too despite having Prime. Pretty frustrating seen as though I preordered weeks ago and it was saying April 12th as a delivery date up until v.recently.

In my order status page it says : Not yet dispatched
Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.

Update - Just got off speaking to Amazon and their solution is to cancel my order so I can re-order it and be delivered within 4th May to 12th May. Totally useless by that point, and absolutely not a solution to the problem. I declined them cancelling the order as I don't want to be put at the top of the queue, but it's misleading when the 2-5 week delay suddenly appears on launch day when the item doesn't turn up.

EDIT: Is it supplied by Amazon? Just looked at it and the current default is a 3rd party seller as they're slightly cheaper.
 
Amazon have been terrible for me since late last year.

Not just with games but other stuff, they're just so non-chalant that £3.50 delivery will take maybe 10 days to get to you.

I've been OK with ordering to one of their lockers locally and £2 next day delivery, even ordering at 7pm has been great. But home delivery with their network has been horrible.

Got really worried as some other order with another company entirely ended up using Amazon shipping. Luckily that ended up fine.

Assuming it's not a 3rd party seller: Amazon usually takes 2-3 days to send stuff with free shipping, unless you're on Prime. It used to be quicker (that's my experience at least), but they're probably trying to favor Prime members.

The guide says the 14th of April.

It's a good job both of them I was just getting for collector's reasons, and I was actually just going to be playing it on PC without the guide.
 
Anyone know the best place to get Ni No Kuni, Kingdom of Amalur, or R&C:Into the Nexus? I'd prefer new copies but can only seem to find them for £20

I'm trying to finish off the games I want on PS3 before I get a PS4

14th April would be okay if my guide arrives then too. Still pissed it didn't arrive on release day though when there was no warning of that until today.

Agreed.

It's even worse if you aren't a prime member too, even normal game pre-orders which are meant to come with free release day delivery never turned up on release day for me.

They never shipped until late on a thursday and by that point it seemed to be too late for royal mail to deliver it the following day.

Prime has been a bit more reliable but you still get these monumental fuck ups.
 
I preordered Ratchet with Game for the preorder bonus at 27.99. They haven't taken the money yet so if any better deal pops up I can switch.

GAME UK is saying they have exclusive rights to distribute the retail version of Tales from the Borderlands. It's supposed to come out at the end of April and, while I assumed this "exclusivity" is only within the UK, I can't seem to find it listed on any other retailer throughout Europe (except for a placeholder page on Amazon DE).

Is it going to be a mess to find it later on? I'm not familiar with how many copies Telltale do when they publish a retail version of one of their games.
 
OK I'm definitely never dealing with GameSeek again. Asked them multiple questions in two emails and they never answered one. The first email the person never even wrote "hello" or signed off, the second one (which was in reply to me saying "yes I would like a replacement order sent out") just said:

We apologize for the delay please keep us informed.

Yeah, I've got pre-orders for PSVR from both Game and Amazon within seconds of them going up, but I may go with Game of all bloody things compared to Amazon. That's saying something.

Doesn't help that I have to change my address before it comes out and I've heard horror stories about that ruining your place in the queue.
