The problem with Gameseek is that if it's a courier, they use Hermes, so you may as well assume the item is lost depending on your area. They left my NeoGeo stick down some steps near my house without a slip telling me. Found it there by pure chance.

EDIT: Speaking of, I think a Hermes driver has stolen my phone I was selling. Shouldn't take 7 working days to process....

So guys whose the go to website if your in the UK and hoping for a game early these days? I'm sure some people here said they got Dark Souls 3 as early as the sataday before release. Having that for Uncharted 4 would sure be good.

Simplygames have never let me down.

Not used thegamecollection for pre-orders.

Shopto not used for pre-order in long time, but always a day or two early.

GAME...not used in many years.

Amazon...dogshit, send on day of release.

Gameseek...pre-ordered once, arrived release day.

All based on free delivery option.

It boggles my mind that Yodel and Hermes are still around. You'd think companies would stop using them considering how utterly shit they are and how much of a headache they cause for the sender and customers with their incompetence.

Game uses Hermes a lot (and pdp or whatever), at least in NW London, I never understood how Hermes works, is it like huber or something similar where normal people deliver the thing?
I never missed anything, but I got weird (hand written) notes with a mobile number saying to send him a text to coordinate a re-delivery and then whatever we agree by SMS, it ended up by my mail box at the next day, lol.

Yeah, they're just self employed people with vans that get paid by Hermes. It's the model Amazon have followed too, which is why people have different experiences in different places.

You aren't alone. I've had an up and down experience with Hermes, but Yodel are just awful IMO.

It's certainly one of the better deals out there at the moment. As you say, you'll need to buy U4 itself and PS+ if you don't already have it so you are looking around £73 for both. Can get U4 for £38 at Smyths and PS+ can be picked up around the £35. Being honest I wouldn't worry too much about the HDD as ideally you would want to upgrade to maybe a 2TB drive anyway. Something like this can be opened up https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00G7LQA1E/ and if you keep the casing you can drop the 500GB from the PS4 in it for an external.

Thanks for the advice. I left it with the girlfriend. Whilst she was deliberating though, Until Dawn went out of stock. Ah well.

The local yodel delivery person always manages to come without fail about 2 minutes after I've gone out after waiting in all day because they don't give you any indication of when they are coming. She then leaves the parcels with the shop next door and moans to them that we are never in. She also does the magic knock trick where she never bloody knocks and just drops a card through the door.

Tesco Direct is selling PS4 (Black) 500GB with an extra Dualshock 4, Until Dawn and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for £259. Those two games can be sold to CEX for £20 and controller for a further £30 (if you pick the white one as your extra dualshock), making the price of the console itself £209.

We get Yodel stuff delivered to the School I work at. Thankfully the driver we had was ok but he used to tell us nightmare stories about the other guys who work there. The upper management seems just as bad as well. They would send out regular questionaires to the staff to try and fix things but apparently if you wrote delivery driver on your sheet they would just get thrown away. All the delivery drivers used to fill in their questionaires and say they worked in the warehouse.

We use Yodel at our work because we can get parcels shipped out with them for £4.15. People slate the drivers all the time but the amount of pressure they are under to get shit delivered / picked up all for a pittance is a joke imo.

Don't get me wrong they picked that career, but someone has to do it.

Touch wood, but my local hermes guy is pretty good. Delivers to my neighbour or just comes back in the evening or the next day. But yeah, being uber like means the individual person could be great or could be awful.

If I pay £2 for shipping to Ireland as well as the item cost I expect to get it pretty soon, like 2-5 days max. Not 4 weeks later. Customer services are useless and liars ("I can send you out a replacement - oh you want it? Sorry I can't do it yet. You want a refund? I can do it Friday. It's Friday? Sorry can't do it until Saturday. It's Saturday? I meant Monday"). That's my GameSeek experience.

I mean sure, it's a tough job like many others, but if other couriers can avoid getting worst parcel delivery service awards several years in a row then they must be doing something wrong.

Yeah, I guess your mileage didn't vary in the good way. ;-)

Hope you do eventually get fully compensated one way or the other.

Great deals but I'm not sure if it's worth £50 to step inside the CEX store. You may need a long shower afterwards to get rid on the stench. Need to take into account hot water costs. Hah.

Joking aside, fantastic deal!

See above: UD is OOS :(

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but I'm looking to sell my PS4 as I hardly ever use it, and I expected to get better trade in deals than I'm seeing.

I do have PT installed on it, would that materially impact the price that I can sell it for?

I see them all the time, but unless you plan on giving away the account that it's tied to as well then it holds no additional value to the machine as others would not be able to play it without your account being the primary.

Darksiders II Deathnitive Edition 9,95€

Diablo 3 UE 17,95€
Rainbow Siege 24,95€
The Order 1886 9,95€

The Martian 5,95€ (9,95 for 3d + normal combo)
The Man from UNCLE 7,95€

Oh really?

Oh well bugger it then.

Yeah always makes me chuckle when I see people say things like PS3 for sale 10 discs and over 100 games on HDD (Presumably from Plus) but the moment the person revokes the PS3 access those 100 games are gone and useless. I find myself pointing this out on quite a few buy and sell posts on local Facebook groups too.

Quick rant/warning about GAME

Ordered two games on April 6th, shipped on the 7th and they still haven't arrived in Germany.

Now you might say "it could be the courier" and that could be correct. For some orders they apparently use the slowest of the slowest shipping method, which is routed through half of Europe (at least Netherlands and/or Belgium) before being deliverd by the cheapest/slowest local service they can find. Or like in my case, not at all. Found plenty of people through google who had the same issue in the last years.

They consider an order lost after 45 days (excluding sundays), so 51 days. They give you a maximum of 60 days to report something lost so you have a generous 9 days to contact them otherwise you're fucked.

Never again.

If they shipped it via Belgium, the delay may have to do with the Brussels airport and metro terrorist attacks.

I've witnessed a severe slowdown for all my incoming packages in early April. Actually got an email from a vendor warning me about it beforehand because their local postal services had warned them.

Weird. I've contacted yesterday because I also haven't received my order from Game. On the help page it says something about 21 days to wait after your order is shipped(International Delivery). Got a response that my order is now seen/accepted as "Lost order" and I had to choose for a replacement(depends on the stock) or a refund.

Asked for a replacement. But I guess it will be a refund because the game is now out of stock :X.

Also asked if the shipping costs will also be refunded because I've read on some other forum that a person also haven't received his order(from Game), asked for a replacement, got a refund(even though he asked for a replacement :/) and they didn't refunded the shipping costs :X.

Welp. Still haven't got a response from Game, so I have to wait :/.

Really weird. Because at the time with the BlazBlue Chronophantasma LE price error, I've received the LE after 1 week when it was shipped :/.

I have a feeling some UK webstores are now switching with these cheapest shipping option when it comes to International shipping :/.

Edit: Or maybe this has something to do with the Brussel terrorist attacks as foobarry81 says :/.

Interesting. I've actually noticed mail from the UK taking longer in general since the beginning of April, not sure if that is related somehow. Maybe overall incresed security. Usually it would take an avarage of 4 working days for a UK order, now it's 6+.

Interestingly, mail from the US and HK arrived MUCH faster than usual in the same time. Around a week, when they normally would take 2-3.

I'm still waiting for a response myself, the help pages say 21 days, but the Terms and Conditions say 45, and I've read from people who actually had to wait that long. Fingers crossed.

if I am in continental EU (Germany) and I want to get a new, sealed WiiU console at a discount price, what pages should I be checking often to get a good deal?

I don't want a bundle (I don't want any of the games nintendo has bundled with the WiiU), just the console and I also don't care about space and gigabytes.

I don't care about any accesories except a new, working console for the cheapest possible price.

any hints?

El-giganten.se are having a sale this weekend. Not that many games though but there's xenoblade Chronicles x for $19(149 SEK) and just cause 3 Ps4 for $24(199 SEK).

Until Dawn is coming in and out of stock, so the deal is available again periodically.

Utterly excited to pick it up next week!

I saw this now expired deal: the old PS4 bundle with LBP3, a second controller, and the camera for £200. It's an absolute while goose chase ( I've just checked out two Game stores to no avail). But if anyone is near to a store today it might be worth checking in?

Cheers for the suggestions on preorders guys. Had completely forgot that simply games got MGS V to me on the Thursday before its Tuesday release so I went with them.

Don't think Brussels airport is a major hub for Asian or American mail to Europe. :-) So maybe that's why those were unaffected.

But with the mail for Belgium being diverted to other close-by airports right after the attacks, it may have put a bit of a strain on delivery in nearby countries like Germany.

To give you an idea of how my own mail was affected in the aftermath of the attacks. I had ordered a game from an Italian eBayer, and that ended up taking 12 (!) working days to arrive, and it was actually redirected to me straight from Schiphol (Amsterdam airport).

And two Play-Asia packages I had ordered around the time took 27 and 30 working days respectively to arrive. Usually they take around 10-15 days on average over here. (Which strengthens my belief that Asian mail doesn't go to Brussels directly, but has to pass to a German hub first or so.)

It boggles my mind that Yodel and Hermes are still around. You'd think companies would stop using them considering how utterly shit they are and how much of a headache they cause for the sender and customers with their incompetence.

Jesus man Yodel..

At the start of the month I decided to move back to Windows after almost 10 years as a Mac user and build my own PC. So this was a big deal for me.

I order my parts then to my horror discover Yodel is the courier.. their website sucks it just says out for delivery but no time frame or any other details. I waited in for my package.

Now baring in mind my dogs go ape shit when they hear people walking at the end of the street let alone someone knocking on the door. I was on my PS4 when I had a look at the website "attempted delivery" was on my order.

I go downstairs and found a we missed you card on the floor dated at 30 minutes ago. I was so mad. I had to reschedule delivery and called them out on twitter. Someone did reach out to me on twitter but after I rescheduled there was nothing they could really do.

So I had to wait two more days. Luckily nothing was damaged as I really didn't want to deal with them again. I am never ordering from a site that uses Yodel again.

My Mum told me she once had something arrive via Yodel - she watched the guy walk from the van to the door and put in a "we missed you slip". She opened the door like WTF. The driver huffed and got her parcel out. I swear they are shit on purpose so they get paid extra to have to redeliver stuff.

I never really buy games at full price on console (or in general) so I have no idea but I'm wondering what's the realistic best price we're likely to see for Uncharted 4 before release? Just wondering what's a good trigger point?

Your best hope of a sub-£42 U4 price is that a supermarket discounts it when you do some shopping or buy PSN credit, or something.
