Game are a very dodgy company and as a former employee I'd love it to burn to the ground.

I'd also love it if the people working there found better jobs in a real game retailer.

The best thing I can say about working at Game when I was there that it was better than working at CEX. They both probably know they can treat people like shit because someone else will want to try working there.

To be honest, it was actually quite a nice gig at Game at our store. When I got moved around to cover for people then yeah, there were some real shitty stores.

Yeah seems I'm out of touch on Vita pricing, just found what you're talking about assume from Smyths?

Yeah that's right

I do want one but that price is a little hard to stomach, once you add the card onto that its about £200, and I could get a PS4 for a little more than that

I guess I'll keep on looking

Not store staff if it's specific stock I don't believe. It would just be Sony staff in this instance.

Guess so.

The golden ticket idea was cool, but I guess to combat being unfair it should just have been redeemable codes or something. Either 5 fixed codes win, or everyone gets a random chance with a code. That way no instant win just from checking inside a box. Marketing just take it in good faith though the 5 random cases are distributed fairly, when in fact cheating can go ahead with simply opening behind the scenes.

Two stupid questions on season passes:

- Does it just matter that you're in the same continent territory for a code to work or does it normally have to be the same country?
- Do any places ever tend to do deals on them? I know it's DLC so it's rare but I know with bigger titles (Battlefront in this case) that a good few online stores sell them but I wasn't sure if they all always sell them for the exact same price or if they can go on offer (like PS+ in Argos for example).

For psn, PS plus and currency codes are country locked, but dlc codes are only locked within the eu +Australia&uae. So you can use French dlc code with a UK copy,

Is UFC 2 ever going to drop in Price?! Released on Paddy's Day and is still over £40 everywhere. The Division isn't dropping either. Seems like whenever I buy a game at launch it's close to half price at this stage (latest Assassins Creed for example)

It'll like hold its value until at least past UFC 200 hoping for another sales bump. Division is still selling.

Really? I have a french Bloodborne but only got a US and UK PSN account, could I buy the DLC in the UK store and use it with my french disc? I thought that wasn't possible.

The best way to be sure, if pressing the dlc option within the game, if it says "item not found" it because the dlc is not cross-region.
I happen to me a lot, since I play with a US account, but I live in the UK (so many disc are EU versions).

That's what I've read and also personally experienced with 3 different ps4 games - I redeemed the included codes though.

That works differently because it depends on the PSN account you're using, your US psn account is looking for the EU dlc on the US ps store which doesn't exist. If you logged in with your UK account and did that you'd get the item being found, I did this with Drakengard 3 recently. The whole of the EU is seen as one region for dlc, some games have different language dlc's like COD - which up to Advanced warfare added like 4 different languaged dlc downloads per map pack. Most games don't do that though. I think US +Canada have the same thing as well.

I'm not 100% on this, but I think games that use country specific DLC within EU usually state so on the DLC webstore page. "To use this download, you need GAME NAME with product code BLES00945" or whatever, that code being on the spine of the games box. No such message meaning it good for all of EU.

At least for PS3, anyone know of any country locked DLC for a PS4 game so can double check?

In theory, that's correct. DLC is locked to the product code. Obviously that then gets messier with SFV and UbiSoft games that are account based, so any product code will work, but will only work for one account.

Yep, that's what I was trying to say with my engrish.
Canada and US for sure use the same region, because you can use PS+ Canadian in a US account, and sometimes the key/ dlc codes works in LA (Latin America) region as well if the game is available there.

I've not managed to find an excuse to use my GAME £5 off £50 code, and as I believe that it expires at midnight, would anyone like it? Just drop a PM across to me if you would and I'll get it straight over to you.

So me and the girlfriend want to buy a PS4 together. We are well aware of the impending Neo announcement, and possible release before the end of the year, and of course the possibility of a price cut to the current model and the knock on effect to second hand prices.

To be honest though we're willing to accept that as there are plenty of games we both want to play, most of all U4.

The above deal looks solid, in the sense of the underlying cost of the PS4, and the fact that our comes with two controllers.

The only clincher is the 1TB drive, and the fact that we'd also need to shell out £70-80 for U4 and PS+. What do you guys reckon?

Hold out for the inevitable U4 bundles on launch week, or is this likely to offer a better value?

I'm worried if we skip this, the only deals will be the same price but just the system and U4, rather than everything you get in the Tesco deal. Thoughts?

I mean it's kind of a good deal? But at the same time there might be an Uncharted bundle for around the same. Are you interested in BO3? I only hesitate because neither of those games are worth very much anymore. You could probably get £30-35 by selling them so it might offset the cost of Uncharted 4 a bit. On the other hand, Until Dawn is a fantastic game and it's a good game to play with other people as you can take it in turns and make decisions together.

Edit: oh it comes with an extra controller. tbh that seems like a pretty good deal, and you can sell the other two games to offset the cost of U4.

Is there anywhere else I can pre-order Tokyo Mirrage Sessions Fortissimo Edition except for Nintendo's own store? They're sold out, and I'm jonesing for my Special Edition fix for the month.

Come on, man, I...I need it bad...

Yeah if definitely have use of both titles, BO3 in particular. Until Dawn would be great, since she can't hack horror films!

I'm still deliberating, just because if we keep those games, the total cost split two b ways is around £160-170. I'm very cheap about these things!

It's certainly one of the better deals out there at the moment. As you say, you'll need to buy U4 itself and PS+ if you don't already have it so you are looking around £73 for both. Can get U4 for £38 at Smyths and PS+ can be picked up around the £35. Being honest I wouldn't worry too much about the HDD as ideally you would want to upgrade to maybe a 2TB drive anyway. Something like this can be opened up https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00G7LQA1E/ and if you keep the casing you can drop the 500GB from the PS4 in it for an external.

Doesn't look like it.

At the moment it seems like you have about 3 hours or so from it going up on the nintendo shop until it's sold out. Same happened with Star Fox and Fire Emblem.

So guys whose the go to website if your in the UK and hoping for a game early these days? I'm sure some people here said they got Dark Souls 3 as early as the sataday before release. Having that for Uncharted 4 would sure be good.

People will always suggest TheGameCollection, people have cited issues with them but I've never had a single problem, Gameseek.

Simplygames. Every single game I have ordered from them has come early, most notable being CoD: Advanced Warfare / Witcher 3 / Mortal Kombat, all 4 days before their actual release.

My housemate has used Gameseek exactly once, and his copy of Dark Souls III still hasn't arrived. Thoroughly unimpressed with them.

I don't mean to sound derogatory but are you sure the problem is Gameseek in this instance and not the courier? I've seen the other complaints (failure to deliver - bad at refunds) and I understand them but I don't see how this is in Gameseek's hands at this point. Again, not trying to be a dick.

Either way, yeah it's a YMMV affair.

Which is never a good thing, when one of the first things people are typically looking for in a retailer is reliability.

Any reason you want the US one? There was a tiiinnnyyy print run for the Vita version, unsurprisingly. Both Amazon US and CA are sold out too.

Because I play with a US PSN account, and I already have almost 45hs in PS4, and I fear that my save would not cross-save to that one if it's not for the same region.

There is no physical version of US Digimon on Vita. Only the Asian English version was released physically, so you'd have to check Play-Asia or other Asian shops,

That's why I didn't find it anywhere, lol.

That was probably the one I found that was out of stock on Amazon.com and CA then, the subbed one.

Well, I've been hearing bad things pretty consistently, and the onus is kinda on them to choose a reliable way to send their goods to customers, otherwise they don't have a leg to stand on.

Gameseek have always been fairly solid for me. Slower on free delivery obviously, worth paying the extra £1 or whatever it is. But I've not had a bad experience with them. Their support has always been pretty prompt at responding to me too. Overall can't fault them and I've used them here and there for a couple of years now.
