Can you still buy digital games off amazon.com with the us address trick? I tried buying tomb raider but the payment didn't go through and I'm in some sort of verification limbo.

That's weird, I've never been charged asap by game before on a title. I have Pikmin 3 on order at a store location and only paid like £5 towards it.

Also GAME have almost always charged a small deposit towards a console preorder. I vividly remember paying £20 towards my launch day DS Phat

Oh checked through some stuff they haven't charged yet, that's a relief XD.

But have they reverted to their policy on "reward point"? Used to be able to apply any amount of point discount to a game on preorder but that option didn't appear, I have £1.90 reward points and couldn't use it towards my Pikmin 3 =/

Edit: Also Wii U's not getting a collector's edition for Batman: Arkham Origins is it =/?

My friend and I tried to use our points towards a game (it was a preowned one) online and it wouldn't work, so I'm not sure what they have done with it.

But with international shipping costs it's probably not worth it for most people here.

For me it works, as an Austrian friend ordered it and I'm gonna meet him this week.

The option seems to be missing from the checkout. I can enter a promotional code, an eGift code or a gift card code; but nothing for reward points. It's a shame given that I have £6.21 to use.
 
Yeah it's a crappy art book, and even if it was a novel, I don't think a Batman novel would make anyone's ancestors that excited...

No thanks, I already skipped on the Wii U Basic pack when it was €150 here at Carrefour. :-) It will have to be the Premium pack AND below €200 before I consider biting.

Yes, I did so a couple of days ago but I wouldn't recommend it. They've implemented their own download app now which is a complete p.o.s. So badly designed and frustrating to use; I won't be buying digital downloads off Amazon anymore unless I'm desperate.

It is currently £7.49 on Steam for the next 8 hours or so if that's any help:

If its a steam/origin/anything with a key game you can still go into your account section and just get the key.

I emailed them last week about this, they said they're updating the system and as such it's been suspended.
It kinda makes the whole rewards scheme pointless though. Earn points for your purchases!....but you can't use those points. lol

Given the state of their site (and business) I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a few weeks more.
 
I'm pretty pissed at GAME.co.uk today.

I bought AssCreed III for Wii U last Saturday when it was back in stock NEW for 13 pounds. Arrived today. Opened the package: used copy with sticker seal. Pretty ugly and noticeable wear on the outside of the case, even the cover AND plastic has tears. That's what they sell me as NEW! Haven't opened it yet.

Curious what response my customer service complaint will get. This is not cool.

It's probably a gutted new copy that was returned from a store.

They do that quite a lot with older games.

can't. international order so returning it would COST me. I'm hoping for a partial refund so that I can ebay this copy and then just buy a brand new one from shopto which then comes down to about the same price when you factor in the potential refund.

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago with the £8 Lollipop Chainsaw deal. Came unsealed with a GAME brand preowned seal sticker in a tatty box. I sent it back straight away but it pisses me off that they think they can get away with sending tatty, opened products as new and probably hoping that customers can't be bothered to return them.

Threaten a chargeback, usually helps with shitty companies.

By EU-law they should refund you and pay for the return shipping if they screwed up on the order. They have no obligation to offer you any discount or such though. Also I think that if they want to they can send you a new copy instead of refunding you even if you'd rather have a refund. In any case, they should pay for the shipping.

They wiggled themselves out of paying for outside-UK return-shipping in their ToS. I checked.

I've had it happened 3 times, one with a Lego game this was 2 years ago, just said I opened it and the disk is scratched to hell. They refunded the money straight away.

Deadly Premonition Director's Cut (PS3) (NTSC!) for 13,64 euros (~£11.8) here.

Also seems like Zavvi have Asura's Wrath (PS3) back in stock and at £12.98. Same price for 360 version, but that one is slightly cheaper at WOW HD.
 
Just had an email from 2gamer cancelling my Batman Arkham Origins Wii U order but referring to a The Last of Us pre-order instead. Anyone else have their order cancelled?
