I've been out of the loop mostly since the golden PS3 days, and because today I jumped on the 3DS boat I kinda want to find some deals to start off on the right foot.
So basically what my searches tell me is that so far, to go sub-30 on top-tier 3DS games like OOT, MK7, SMB2, LM2, even SF64, etc, is pretty much not possible. This is correct?
I also own a Wii U but outside of Lego and Pikmin, there isn't much else I want to get before Zelda.

Well, then I'm out of much luck anyway, since SM3DL is one of the 3 games I own (the other ones being Animal Crossing and MH) plus Paper Mario is not my style, or RPGs generally speaking.

I put a Wii U Premium in there just to see what they'd offer me, which turned out to be a fiver off (again around 2%). It's a shame, but I think a lot of people saw this coming. I could never understand how they made their money or what was in it for the retailers. It was never going to last, sadly.

They have Saints Row 4 for like 24€ (redeemable on steam) once converted, but I don't know if they're reliable or even it's an Amazon.com situation where you're not supposed to buy from them (but can anyway)

I still don't get why you wanted to get The W101 out of your order, when you actually want to play it.
And then I also don't understand why they would want a credit card statement for that. If you didn't pay for the games yet (which apparently you didn't, because they cancelled the whole 9-games-order), how could you have a credit card statement in the first place?
Also, why did you not just reorder the 8 games after they cancelled the 9-games-order? I mean, I realize that is inconvenient and may not be very helpful on their part. But they could also just have charged you for the 9 games and sent them to you.

Ugh, Sony really needs to sort out their online store backend.
I tried to purchase Bioshock Infinite and the Season Pass on sale on PSN yesterday, and was unable to do so, as I got an error when trying to checkout. I tried a couple of times since then and have been unable to do so. Called my bank and found out there was no issue with my card, just 12 failed requests from Sony. I called Sony and they said my account was locked for 24 hours because of too many failed purchases.
I don't have an issue with this, in fact, I applaud their security.
My issue comes down to that my 3 attempts to purchase translated to 12 failed attempts on my card, and that once my account was locked, they have no mechanism in place to unlock my card. I have to wait 48 hours for the account to lock itself which means I was unable to purchase Bioshock Infinite to play this weekend.
Thankfully I was able to buy a PSN card online, with instant delivery (50 for 49.99 from cardscodes.com which is pretty good) and purchased the game.
Sorry for the rant, but just...damn it Sony.

Weird. Can't say I've ever had any problems purchasing stuff from PSN, having owned a PS3 since launch. All online payments are pretty much at the mercy of the software powering them working correctly though. I had a problem with my credit card provider a few months back where I tried to make a payment through their online portal with my debit card, but got an error instead of the usual confirmation message. Turns out it had actually taken the money, and not just one but twice (£50 x 2), yet the credit card provider had no record of the payment at all. After hours on the phone to both them and my bank, I ended up having to do two chargebacks via my bank to resolve it after weeks of trying.
I guess they wanted to get a statement as proof that he is the real owner of the creditcard. Kinda understandable - first order and it's 8 or 9 (fullprice) games combined.

This isn't the first time either, I had the same issue a few weeks ago trying to purchase Far Cry 3. Maybe it's moreso a problem with my connection/bank, but who knows.

Yeah, it's not really uncommon as a request goes, but it's insane that people are still asking for statements (or utility bills for other stuff) when it's 2013 and everyone should be paperless by now.

First post! Might be interesting to anyone considering a Playstation Plus sub. I just got that "Play Need for Speed Most Wanted for free!" email from Sony with the 30 day Playstation Plus trial. Thought I'd give it a go, mainly due to all the positive feedback on the Plus thread. The code actually gave me a free 90 day trial instead! EXCELLENT!

I still get my credit card statements on paper and I'm quite happy with that. Although I doubt that they wanted a physical copy, I guess a scan or a digital copy would have been fine. Worst case would have been a FAX. I think paypal does those things as well in unusual cases.
