Amazon UK's discount codes are back

£5 off a £40 or more spend - VG5OFF40
£10 off a £75 or more spend - VG10OFF75
£25 off a £150 or more spend - VG25OFF150

Switch for £255, PS4 Slim + FIFA 18 for £205, etc.

Consoles only or already released games? Doesn't work with pre-orders for October games, at least for me...

Too bad the codes don't work on preorders!
They don't?

The last time they did.

They even advertise the promotion in the pre-order section:

edit:

Works fine with pre-orders here. Some random Assassin's Creed Origins:

Yeah they restricted it after last time where we could add it to anything with a video game, including some random banana milkshake.

Guys, go to their chat and tell them the code isn't working. I had the same issue and they applied the promotion to my order.

Marvel Vs. Capcom infinite should a least be part of the Amazon deal since they blatantly cancelled pre-orders and jacked up the price £10.

Had a look to see the Pro bundles Amazon have and they're all pretty bad when compared to the Destiny 2 bundle, however I'm not super keen on Destiny 2, so really looking for a good Pro bundle with a handful of games

Dang that's tempting especially as I've been tempted by Destiny 2 for a while. I won't have any issues with DLC in the future if I buy it from the UK but have an Irish PSN account will I? I'm normally not this dense about this but have found it can vary with certain games over the years.

And Tesco with the same

£5 off when you spend £40 - TDX-VPKP
£10 off when you spend £75 - TDX-YGHR
£25 off when you spend £150 - TDX-TWHJ

Amazon staying with the disappointment, can't use code on a preorder of One Piece Unlimited World for Switch.

Could someone please tell me the best place to pre-order MVC Infinite, in terms of price and how soon they're likely to deliver it? Thanks.

Depends where you are and platform

Weirdly above in this page, I was referring to the PS4 version yesterday however....PS4 version is now back down to £38 (£36 with Prime), after bouncing from 34/32 to two days ago going up to 44/42 on Amazon.co.uk

I'm still so on the fence about the game. Impressions are becoming a bit more positive.

Aww P5 says PS3 - wanted PS4. Thanks though

Can you get it to work on existing preorders which are eligible?

Try this:
1. Add games that are eligible to the basket and then enter the code and apply it.
2. Then head over to your existing preorder.
3. Click on change payment method, but don't change anything. Just click on continue.
4. See if the discount has been applied to this preorder now.

Argos are doing it for £34.99, if you're still interested. I believe they take your money straight after checkout, though, so be sure you want it before ordering.

Just tried to buy a Switch with the Amazon code and it wouldn't let me use it. Rules only say digital content isn't eligible. :(

Just tried again:
The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

EDIT: Works, but only with Neon (as stated above!, thanks)

Are CD Keys codes working for anyone? I've used them for years with no issues, even when they started enforcing '2 uses per customer' and that, but today it's suddenly not working.

Edit: Just tried again on a dummy account and it worked fine. Guess they're cracking down on multiple uses :(

There are codes?

Yeah I haven't been able to use them for ages now. Quite sad. Tha said, even without the code they're still generally cheaper than the competition.

There are codes?

On their Facebook they always have a 5% off code generator.

Fake news.

You have a 2-year guarantee by EU law, a warranty is just something voluntary by a retailer or manufacturer.

No. The EU stipulate that this is agreed on a country by country basis and they recommend 2 years but the legal minimum is 1 year.

In the UK, the Sale of Goods Act trumps the EU directive and is only a 1 year warranty. It is a 1 year warranty in the UK, unless the store offers an extended warranty.

EU law provides for a two-year guarantee for any new goods bought from a professional trader based in the EU. During this two-year period, the trader is responsible for any fault in the product.
