Working on my back up plan to get a Nintendo Switch on Friday. If UK retailers are all asleep at 5am or websites crash until 8am. What retailers have the most reliable apps? In the sense that the stock in the app reflects stock on the website. I've been thinking about pre-registering and saving card details with a handful of stores to make check out easy.

John Lewis is a lock but would feel more comfortable with 1 or 2 others.

I was wondering about the Nintendo store. Seemed like a good idea to me, but I was worried they would get swamped with the die hard fans. To put it into perspective I'm not too worried about getting it on launch day. I just know I won't be able to respond to stock alerts when the second waves drop. 2.3% cash back with Simply, 3.45% at Nintendo store. Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up. Any other US only physical releases we should be on a look out?

Does anyone know if there's a cheaper place to buy Wild Guns: Reloaded than Play-Asia?

I don't import many games from the US so I'm not sure what the best websites are.

when did the white PS4 slim get announced? I don't want one, but if they bring out a white pro I'll be annoyed

Today.

Amazon US have it for $30 with keychain, they calculate the import fees etc before they send. Videogameplus avoid them by undervaluing the item .

Found Odin Sphere Leifthrasir (PS4) for £32 from amazon.co.uk. I think I'll bite.

Just wondering should I pay with pounds or with euros? Which one saves me some money? My visa is in euros.

EDIT. Think I got lucky because it shows £37 now.

Natsume won't ship it outside the US via Amazon, for reasons they refuse to elaborate on. PA, VGP and eBay are the only options for importers now. Use PayPal if shopping via VGP, as posters here have reported that their site is still insecure and unauthorised charges have been made to cards used to buy from there.

Went ahead and got Fire Emblem Fates Conquest for GBP 25 off Amazon UK along with Fossil Frontier 3DS.

Might hold off getting DQ8 until Yoshi Yarn 3DS is close to release and get them together...maybe.

Ah, I ship my stuff to a friend in the US so that's why i didn't see that, assumed it was fine because it was fulfilled by amazon.

gamestop had them a few days ago for 29€ and the vita version for 10€.

shipping to germany/sweden is 24/48€.
is the producer himself bringing me the package or why is this so expensive?
Seems like it might be a pretty big package? Postage goes quite quickly from cheap-ish few euro small packages containing a couple of regular-sized games to "this weights more than 1kg, p&p costs increase 800%" bigger boxes

Stupid UK package shape post prices.

A long rectangular package that could fit inside a tube package costs more than the tube package.

Extend that to all box shaped things.

Plus it potentially heavy.

Having problems with GameSeek. Are they generally considered to be good, or even competent?

The only time I ordered from them, they advertised a game as in stock on their website. It wasn't. Ended up waiting a month until I received it, and it was the US version.

Put me off ever using them again.

had something like this with killer is dead, came with a foreign cover and it had been badly resealed and sold to me as new, paid with paypal but sadly i kinda took too long to bother reporting them so i doubt i could get my money back now

Kinda similar, but it took them a month of telling me its been posted, then its out of stock and wasn't posted but they sending me a copy as stock just arrived and the whole time they still listing the item as instock.
it arrived eventually and it was a US Greatest Hits version.

In order to save any sort of money if I buy Xbox credit from CD keys and buy Halo wars 2 ultimate edtion from Xbox.com i'll get the PC software too right? all I want is the PC version but getting Xbox credit from CD keys seems to be the only sort of cheap option.

I don't really trust them tbh.
Took me almost 3 weeks to get my order. Won't order from them again.
I've gotten all my orders from them next day and never had an issue, but recently I've started hearing shit just like this.

Thanks, all. I was kinda expecting this. I feel like GameSeek are going out of business or something and just don't care any more - taking those Switch pre-orders with payments up-front was also suspicious.

They sent me Wind Waker HD selects instead of og version and I'm really just... ugh, just not now, okay.

Yeah seem to be doing that a lot lately.
Used to be fantastic, now they lie about stock or have to forward to one of many third party warehouses for dispatch which takes a few days.

They have gone right downhill.
