Chibi-Robo! coming to GameCube – Nintendo Classics on August 21st

Chibi-Robo is a four-inch-tall robot who's arrived at the Sanderson house with the goal of helping the family get the most out of life and find happiness. Day or night, he'll help however he can, whether that's by cleaning or looking for lost items. In this chibi action-adventure title originally released for the Nintendo GameCube™ system in 2006, you'll aim for the top of the Chibi-Rankings by gathering Happy Points and Moolah (aka money)! It's rumored that Chibi-Robo will become Super Chibi-Robo if he reaches the top of the rankings...but between a daughter who only speaks in the language of frogs and toys that come alive when humans aren't around, Chibi-Robo has his work cut out for him in the mystery-packed Sanderson house!

Just saw Nintendo posted about this being added to GC NSO on X. I tried to get into the game a while back but I put it down and didn't go back to it. Maybe its time to check it out again.

Can't believe how badly Nintendo fucked up the direction of this series after a while. Love to see the original game return, hopefully it'll remind Nintendo what fans want in a Chibi Robo game should they ever give it another entry.

Let's hope it makes the resale value of the GC original come crashing down.

Yeah man - between this and Earthbound in particular, but also a few others, Nintendo have managed to get rare and expensive games into people's hands to play at least.

Not sure what they're going to do about the Mario 3D Superstars collection though. That's still a head scratcher that ...

The only good one. At least more people can be exposed to it.

Nope, the 2nd one on DS called welcome home chibi robo rich big sweep cleaning is the best one it is a direct sequel to the gamecube with Jenny all grown up and having a house of her own. It improves on the GC original in many ways it's a crime nintendo left it in japan thankfully there's a fan translation for it.

I wish these game were no exclusive to Nintendo online subscriptions.

I wish they would let you get the normally from Eshop.

I didn't know that existed. Color me surprised, thought park patrol was their attempt at a sequel.

park patrol was a fun spinoff but it didn't have that same Chibi feel. The 2nd one for ds had some new upgrades like spinning your plug like a lasso and throwing at a socket like a grappling hook then swinging across gaps and using it to climb it gave Chibi way more freedom as the first game was a bit clunky when climbing around.

My dream would be for Nintendo to fully do a remaster of both for switch as a collection. Let everyone enjoy both games. Sad that Chibi has been neglected by nintendo for so long.

Looking forward to finally playing this. As a dude who still has his GCN hooked up, I personally would rather semi-obscure (and super expensive) games like this than the things I've played a hundred times already. I think the planned NSO lineup is a good mix of hidden gems and big hits so far.

Nintendo fans must be special kind of suckers to accept paying a subscription for decade old games where they should have been able to pay $3 to own the game outright.
It's the other way round, people pay for the online (and it's super cheap), and Nintendo gives old games as a bonus.

I know people will find any reason to complain but F-Zero GX, Super Mario Strikers, and this - Nintendo is killing it with GC NSO.
I saw a video the other day where the guy was complaining about there not being enough games for GC. 4 "free" games (with the 5th in a couple weeks) for only being out 3 months is now "not enough".

Its almost as if some of these people put 30 mins (if that) into a NSO game, put down the controller and yell "what's next?!?". It's never enough for some people.

These are the people that don't do anything else but play all the time, like a game releases and they've platinumed it in a couple days, then complain that "there's nothing to play", like the anyone else only matter is gaming all day lol

you don't have to like every game but F-Zero GX can realistically be played for hundreds of hours. Super Mario Strikers is one of the best arcade sports games. Soul Calibur 2 is maybe the best game in the series. Wind Waker is one of the best Zelda games. Just you know play the games and have fun before you start complaining.

The other games they have coming out too like Fire Emblem are also phenomenal.
