Everyone is going to work like it's not going to happen, including me. But it hasn't started yet, so who knows what's gonna happen.

I'm not expecting a major one to be honest. Maybe a few inches, but I doubt it'll pour non-stop and give us another 15-20 inches like it does every few years.

I work off of Michigan Ave.

I just took this pic. Will take from same spot later if mother nature fucks us over.

Some IDIOT (my boss) scheduled me to do a job in Fond du Lac Wisconsin at 3 this afternoon, so I will be driving home in the thick of it. Thanks boss.

Looks like the worst is going to just miss us to the south, but hammer parts of Indiana. I'm supposed to fly to Boston this afternoon. We'll see how that goes.

Edit: The wind is really starting to pick up here now in the Chicago west suburbs, but nothing like what we saw a few days ago.

Fucking home inspection just got delayed to next week 'cause of the snow. Expected, but sucks. It's essentially the last step in us knowing if we're buying a house or not. Fuck snow.

I'm in Michigan but we get a lot of the same weather. The schools I work for have all shut down for the day and already cancelled school tomorrow.

work right off adams and franklin and it started about an hour ago. not looking forward to the commute back to lakeview.

hoping for no more than 2-3 inches ._.

UIUC is getting lit up with snow right now. And, without fail, we have lab meetings tonight at 4 PM and 6 PM which means I'm on campus until around 8 PM. Insanity.

It's not sticking here in the Loop yet all the old suburb people and Indiana carnies are noping out like it's their right. God bless the CTA ;(

There's nothing here in Vernon Hills. Thank fucking god, because we always get it the worst up north. I'm not about that drive home in snow when people forget how to drive.

My girlfriend called out of work (yay hi babe) but it doesn't look as awful as the news made it seem, so IDK. It is definitely very windy though.

Made it to work, and we closed after an hour. Wasn't a bad drive at all like I was expecting, so whatever. I'm off tomorrow, too. So, I'm pretty happy to spend the next 48 hours sitting around doing jack shit.

isn't it going to just be like 3-5 inches?

I'm trying to leave the client early to not catch all the traffic, but it seems like the snow has started down there

Here in St. Louis, lots of businesses and schools closed and everything kept melting as it hit the pavement. My job opened 2 hours late but I went in anyway, the roads were perfectly fine

I think a lot of schools are just taking the opportunity to use up some snow days that we accumulated over a mild winter. At least that's what the districts I work for are doing.

The wind blew off some wires in our alleyway and my mom saw a small spark of fire in the wood post so I called the electric company and they're working on it. First time that's happened, but otherwise it seems okay outside.

well.....seeing the radar.....its not sure if it wants to rain or snow.......

I'm not going to expect much, but prepare for ice more than snow

You call this a blizzard? Right now it's melting as soon as it hits the ground.

To commuters, be careful. Many of the lights at intersections are blocked with snow. Red light, especially is very hard to see and some people are blowing reds and almost hitting traffic. Stay safe Chicago Gaf.

Melting as it hits the ground makes it dangerous, yeah. The road gets wet and a little icy.

I learned that lesson quickly. Gotta drive slow in the snow.

Damn all these Champaign posters. My hometown

And yea River North here and I work in an hour and can hear the winds slamming at my building rn. Not looking forward to trudging thru the sno
