stuck on plane.

Ah, just thought it was another one of those drunken rambling moments.

I know I have to drink myself to sleep after playing Halo 4 multiplayer.

Carry on.

This thread reminds me that Ellie is the girl from Growing Pains and it totally weirds me out:

That actually fit the character though since his mom cut his hair.
wait, what movie is this from. I remember seeing it and being a sad movie.

EDIT: Nvm found it. Not that sad of a movie, but I remember kids making fun of his clothes too... his mother made em for him right?

Back when I saw Liar Liar in high school I wanted to punch the kid with the stupid haircut's face because of his stupid haircut.

He looks like a circumcised penis.

Holy crap totally beaten.

Disney haircuts are the fucking worst thing ever....

I don't get the hate. Kids have great hair, not being creepy or anything but it's true. Look at it! All naturally highlighted and shit. People in their 30s and over would kill for that hair man. I'm not talking about balding, just there's something about your hair's structure that changes over time. Probably all the processed food we eat over the years or something.

So yeah, kids, flaunt those luxurious locks.

The issue is not about quality, it's about the gulf between what the average hairstyle on real kid is versus the ridiculous silky bowlcut template Hollywood insists is realistic. Apart from the overall mockworthyness, it actually sometimes makes otherwise realistic movies look stupid. Any movie with a divorce in it will have one of these kids.
I mean, this movie is thirty years old but that hairstyle has existed, unbroken since before that time. But only in movies.

I thought the character of John Blake from Iron Man 3 had both a modern and retro look to his child actor hair.

I haven't seen date night but I guess you mean this kid:

Looks pretty par for the course for a kid that age. Least here in California. We're not all actors here. Well, maybe on the side. #TeamArtImitatingLife

Not the same kid but reminds me of the kid from real steel.

This is a great thread. I didn't know there were others like me.

Haircuts like this make me want to kill. I can't explain it.

^^^^Especially the blond kid in the ugly shirt on the left. That style is murder bait.

what does this have to do with child actors. i think all kids have hair like that at some point...

you guys all probably had the same haircuts as kids lol. haters!

How is it unrealistic exactly? I see kids with long hair every now and then.

This kid/haircut combo seemed to be every kid in '90s movies. All of the kids.

Not if you have curly, nappy hair, or something in between.

If I'm reading IMDB right, one of these kids was Julian from Big Daddy? WTF

Well, actually, they both were. Movies and television shows often cast twins in one role, because kids are only allowed to work so many hours, so they switch places when their time allotment runs out.

Yeah, and they are called "girls"

Do you have school-age kids? I see lots of bowl cuts, long hair, etc. at my daughter's school. The one popular hairstyle I don't see in movies is mohawks.

Did belts not exist until 1990 or something?
